Guess Im on a roll... These were from my 2nd troop...

I havent had the time to post up much after getting my TD approved.. I was boots to the sand right away.... I had to get doing some more weathering after seeing my armor next to Jay I almost felt like I was a TK... Here are a few of the pics from the mission report.... These were from the Relay for Life we did 2 weekends ago... I know Jay has all the pics... really need to get with him so I can get the 3-stooges tribute pic we took.

OK I now have 2 troops under my belt.. First one was relatively small but the last was a parade.. I have a pair of the older CA boots and the always had a strange smell to them since the first day they arrived.. Well after a nice long hike in them, the fake leather smell has changed and its more like I have been standing in a Krayt dragon carcass for a week.. I had to put them in the trunk of the car so I could drive home from the last troop.. So I have decided to buy a pair of TK boots question is for those of you that have them... Do you go up a size when ordering? I wear a 10.5 and im not sure if I should get an 10 or 11... Thanks

Epic we are heading down for the family vacation next month. I have been trying to figure out how to get my armor packed so I could take some sand pics.... Mother-in-law is coming along this time so not sure if Im going to be able to pull it off or not.. Might take a few trial packings.....

I ran into the same problem when I ordered these thought I posted something about that... I fixed it by: after the slings are attached as normal (with the exception of the end near the swivel. I took the end clip near the swivel off by drilling out the rivet/eyelet then I fed that through the sling and re-attached the clip with another rivet/eyelet...

Im lucky to not have a lot of adjustments that need made after my first troop... Has anyone managed to successfully re-shape the bicep and calf sections of AM armor to remove the "rounded square" shape. While building the armor Jay and I attempted to do that but we were not able.. Thinking that if I can get rid of that squared shaped it will get rid of the small pinch point around the elbox area without trimming anymore.. Thinking it will also allow me to eliminate the shins not wanting to stay closed in back..

A little warning to anyone who is thinking about purchasing these slings here... I purchased 2 of these and they were shipped pretty fast, however, I did run into a smmall problem with them. I brought them along to my first troop to pick up my new (used)cushman T-21 and because these are reproductions they are not the same exact specs as the original.. These are a little wider and will not fit the swivel. So a little bit of work will have to be done to make them work.. Aside from that they are pretty nice for not much cost.. 2 for about 30$ (shipping included)

Looks great Jay cant wait to see it all together(SWAT) version anyways... Funny last time I saw you in armor I was squiring that event in Huntington this time I get to be fully involved... Cant wait to start toting the BFG around.....

YES SIR thats it.. one I played only had 2 seats, but yep thats it... Has lots of movie clips in it depending upon what you hit.. If you hit for the BIG score like it plays the end of the trench run and the Death Star explosion.. Im not much for electronic gambling but this could have easily got me leaning to the dark side and wanting to spend more and more funds....Really glad I didnt play it earlier in the week... I would have probably been broke and had to pawn my armor to get back home...

Fresh off my return from special desert training I have my number and ready to report for duty...

I really wish that it wasnt against the law to take pictures in a casino.. I had the best photo op for an off duty Sandtrooper ever.. Im in the casino at the hotel the other nite in my Star Wars shirt and what do I find... Yes you guessed a Star Wars themed poker machine (guess Lucas Arts cashed in on gambling) it was called DROID HUNT.. It was awesome not only because of what it was based on but I actually had pretty good luck with it and hit for quite a few credits...

After reading my email when I got back from Vegas it turns out Wednesday was a very good day for me... I got the word that my armor was approved the same day my team took 4th place in the big tournament.. So Im just waiting around for my TD designation.. Tell you what its not easy trying to pick a number......

Way to go Jay, just got back and saw the news on the Garrison page... I knew it was only a matter of time.. Awesome work!!!!!!

Hey eveyone thought I would post up a little bragging.. My dart team has managed to make it through the first 2 rounds of the International tournament and we have advanced to the Championships tomorrow. Obviously Im not asking for anyone to show in armor (even though that would be awesome, Id love to be throwing in mine... )but if anyone in the the Vegas area is free to come give us a little cheering section we would love the additional fan support if anyone is free.. just drop me a text at 304 881 3092 we are at Bally's...

AM is the name Jay, and yeah, the biceps and shins have been pains in the backside because of the squared oval shape...We did try and reshape, but were not exactly successful at it.. I realize that I have some tweaks that need to be done prior to a request for deployment, just hoping I get in the door this go around.... Got jay really close to help me get it finish ironing the bugs out, either that or he is going to strangle me, not sure which would be easier for him to.....

Well after what seemed like a small enternity I have finally finished my first set of armor. Sent the pics in for approval... Guess all I can do is wait and see what happens now... here are some of the pics I sent....

Man.. Wishing that I would have ran up today instead of yesterday now... I remember you saying it should be in any day....

Well Lowes was out of the black PVC so I just grabbed a 2" white PVC (I will just paint it) If I bevel/trim the ends a little I can get the end caps from my original set of armor to squeeze on it... still cant believe it... 2 sets are too large for a 2" cap... 1 is tooo small for a 2 inch.. almost makes me want to build a vac table just so I can pull my own ends to fit a tube I can find without loosing my mind......
