  1. For the record though, the CRL doesn't state that the thumbprints be placed in any certain position, it just says that the biceps are fully closed and the shoulder bells should have minimal overlap. I think that the specifics should be added if they are critical enough to stop any kind of approval on the site
  2. Maybe the pics will help explain a little better These are shaped differently than my buddies kit (TA2 I think ??) His are more of a rounded shape opposed to the oval shape mine are. I dont get how else I am supposed to wear these being that they are shaped like that Sucks that that is going to hold me up from deployment, but I am done spending for now. I have the ties for the siphon, working on the pieces for the e-11 also
  3. It's just the way the pieces are formed, I can't wear them to the inside. The thumb is on top of the oval shaped bicep part, not the side. The only way to change that is to maybe heat up and reshape them, but I don't think it that easy I originally had them mounted to the inside, bit it was a very uncomfortable fit and just beat me up while wearing and eventually worked it's way into the same position
  4. OHHHH, zip tie stripes! I am on it. Might have some here at work
  5. the biceps only work in that position. I thought the thumbprint was supposed to be on the inside of the bicep piece, but its shaped with it on the tope.. What is a conical disk, and what kind of stripes are you talking about for the syphon? Yes, the lens is green it looks awfully dark in the pics
  6. Yep, its an AM kit. I love it, I may order a black set!
  7. Tim Stodard TD-2946 jokerfish Bast Alpha Helmet details Side details Ab plate Elastic straps More helmet details
  8. Thanks guys, pics coming tonight so I can get MEPD deployed. Not going for swat, so I just need to close in my left side
  9. Found out I am approved as a TD, and I only have one question...are you feeling lucky...PUNK! Looking forward to trooping with you guys one of these days
  10. Ok guys, Walt put me through, so now I'm just waiting on the legion. I think it's pretty good that all of the issues I had with the suit were things I had already noticed and fixed prior to being told about them Looking forward to trooping with you guys
  11. Thanks! Can't wait to get some pics with that rifle
  12. Yeah, tell me about it! I will get a bigger pipe next week sometime, I am just done buying for a few days. Walt just informed me that he put me through and my app is on its way to the legion. Could this be my lucky 3rd costume in 4 months???
  13. its a little small in the diameter, but that will be changed later on. I have spent way too much money putting this one together, my 1k budget was blown out of the water very early!
  14. I think its a bit small too, but its the dirty boy move along pack. I am 6' and 230
  15. Now the waiting begins! I want to get to that Disney troop, so I need to have at least 1 logged troop in that costume if I am understanding that right
  16. I also raised the strap clip up a few inches and added more to the bottom, I thought it sat low too
  17. I added the missing parts to the pack last night, it's just upside down in that pic I thought straps could be any white material, but canvas was good for police officer or SWAT? The camera got me at the last minute I think we took 20 shots of that pose trying to get it right, lol
  18. Took my armor to work to tweak a few things and get my submission pics taken. Let me know what you guys think Added strapping to the ammo pouches so they stay in place a little better, put the mortar tube on, radar dish, need to finish the stinger and the pack should be just about finished inside of the helmet new mic tips, added real sand to the helmet Elastic strapping strapping screws added to the chest plate return edge (I like the extra detail, they have been weathered since the pic) anyone want to add some blaster shots? Got caught with my pants down
  19. sending him pics in the AM. Gonna spend the night working on it, will get some good shots during the day. Should be 100% by the AM minus a few parts on the pack
  20. First troop went great! I need to add some padding in the forearms and around the lower thighs to stop a little bit of movement I had on the parts, but all in all the costume held up great. A little rounding of some sharp edges, another snap or two, possibly a bit of thigh trimming, and a mortar tube tonight and I think she is "done" for now. I am bringing the suit to work to finish it all up tonight and I hope to get a few pics by the oily turbines with a lot of steam to make a few cool pics. Its not sand, but it might help explain why my costume is so dirty
  21. I only have a few pics, the ones from our garrison aren't up yet Me and my buddy Jason (Jason Solo here on the boards) Take this mini Dewback! you can see that the lower part of the backpack just broke He's dead now, its safe to touch
  22. I think thats the first helmet I bought, it was HUGE compared to any of the others I had seen. will snap a pic real quick for you
