  1. Worked late at the office tonight... but I was still able to sneak in some time on the pack parts. Started coating the frame with plastic. Taped up my seed trays Got a few items primed and painted Doing a bit more work on the syphon still Until next time ...
  2. ... Well, not necessarily So, I started my pack obviously. I actually built two frames, before settling on a third (below). I wanted something seamless, and so I built the one shown below. I riveted all the corners together for added strength, I also used a Bondo-like material to fill in all the cracks on my pipe fittings. I'm considering a plastic coating over the entire frame as well. Frame #3 Just a bit more work to do here I went with the Rustoleum Satin Slate Blue Sanded, drilled, primed and painted Aluminum bars for attaching the seed trays to my frame top bottle Stinger in progress ... I might swap the cone out for a more accurate part.
  3. Needs bit of work, but ...
  4. Well, I'm getting a second quote. I would like do these as a four piece kit... (1) The face with knobs/switches attached, (2) the box, and (3) the side strap hangers. For now though I'm just getting a quote on the face.
  5. I bought four of them on ebay for $8 plus S&H. See it here So, I cut a cup down and fit it to one of the bottles I ordered (from the bottle supplier) online. And I'm wondering if they originally vacuum formed these things? Because if they did... And if they attached the caps to the bottle lids (like I did)... and they screwed it down tight enough, the thinner plastic would distort... giving it the flatter top (in comparison to mine).
  6. I found a bunch of these large dessert cups (by tupperware) on ebay... what do you think? I mean obviously they will need some trimming... but I think they look pretty darn good.
  7. Here's a couple renditions... tell me what you think. I tried a dog at one point, but thought it looked silly ... so I stopped on that one. But thought it might be cool to use a Massiff? I just outlined a photo of one real quick. Might be nice to do a stylized version though, if you like the idea. Anyhow ...
  8. I guess they could, not sure though? It's up too them I guess. Oh never mind, you were referring to the TD art. :B
  9. Um here's a photo badge I recently did for whitearmor.net Would something like this work? As far as the treatment, I mean?
  10. thank you... I try. Wow, thanks! Skeeters peeties ARE pretty neat though! I just like to help, thanks though! I appreciate that! Uh, well... Adobe Creative suite, Cinema 4D... Guess that sums it up. Yeah, did a bunch for FISD... But they were mostly just DVD screen grabs with some text. I've done a few for myself though with more graphic elements to them. Me likey!
  11. I can whip up something when I get home. If your asking for help? Jess
  12. I got my 1st 3D printing quote. It was like $4,000! The search continues.
  13. I made this Imperial Cog a while ago... if you want to use it you can.
  14. Do you need any help? Let me know.. I mostly work in graphic arts... mostly. Few examples:
  15. At first I thought perhaps it was a rubber bowl of some kind turned in-side-out, or it was a headlamp bucket from a vintage motorcycle (maybe even vacuum-formed. But I think the photography parts make the most since, given that's what they used for the lightsaber hilts.
  16. I purchased a few off ebay, we'll see how they look. What do you think of this? These are PVC pipe end caps, got 'em at Lowes for 93 cents ea.... stacked in a certain way they look like burger stackers. I also found this electrical tubing that looks a lot like the Exhaust port tubing. I'm starting to believe that the box was an electrical circuit box, for switches or jumpers.
  17. I'm starting to think that the mushroom caps were originally Camera Flash Reflectors, or Vaccum formed to these parts. You have to admit, they look similar. Thoughts?
  18. I did find this shampoo bottle, obviously you would have to modify it to work. Also found these at Home Depot (in the plumbing section). Wondering if they look accurate enough? I can't seem to find a real good shot of the "stinger."
  19. Hyperfirm DLT-19 Came to work today... And the receptionist wanted the box it came in so she could mail something else in it. Felt kinda weird having this huge blaster at the office, even if it was fake... even weirder, having to walk a block to my car while carying this thing!
  20. I need to order some from crashmann still, along with my seed trays. Also, I found TD-2441's website... she had the same thought as I did for the exhaust port. Check it out!
