K, I have some!
The full length features gave me some playback issues (on the computer) ... But I was still able to get a decent number of screen grabs. All the bonus disks play (and capture) fine ... it's just the movie disks that playback all garbled. Wonder if that's by design?

Hey Gang!
So, I made some tweaks to the model ... And I now have an affordable quote for a 3D printing of it ... So it looks like I might be moving forward with this project ... Once I have the prototype in my hands I'll make a mold of it, and begin making some copies! Hoping to have them available by the end of October, but we'll see.
PVC is too heavy! I have a bunch of that stuff, and it weighs a lot. I ordered some acrylic tubing from TAP plastics the other day. I might have a piece I could split with you. As you have to order it in two 3' sections. But it's the same stuff I order for my TK thermal detonator kits that I make.
Still had some parts drying on the exhaust port ... but I attached everything on the top section. The bottom section is still obviously in the works... attaching the stinger next. I also have to order my 2 1/2" piping from TAP plastics... same stuff I use for my TK thermal detonators kits.
I made mine out of one of those square box like shelves, some PVC piping, ABS sheets, and some peg board. As far as the tools I used... I just used a glue gun, hammer (and tacks), circular hand saw, hack saw, and an X-acto knife.
This is still drying, so I couldn't assemble it fully... But I'm pretty happy with how it's looking.
Also did my toolbox
And I finished painting the stinger... Just need to pick up some aluminum for the brackets.
Some updates on the pack...
I ended up making the box for the exhaust port out of a display case for an old iPod shuffle. I used ABS sheets for the back and triangles. Right now I'm sanding the Bondo, and coating the inside with some resin to strengthen it a bit.
I do all my DVD screen capturing with VLC... I don't know if it supports BluRay though...? I did just order an internal BluRay drive for my computer, so I'll let you know if I have any success with capturing. I will say that I have had no crashes (thus far) with my copy... Although, I've been playing it on my PS3.
trace the contour of the lid on the ears with a pencil before trimming. I would also make them a bit thinner up top, this might help close the gap some.
I was thinking the same thing. I have a PS3... and a Mac Pro. I was thinking of getting a BluRay drive (for the Mac) just so I could capture from these BR discs. But I don't know if theres even the software to support BR on a Mac, let alone one that lets you capture from it.
