It is very convincing as far as the "aging" goes. I understand the suspicion we all have to have concerning "original" trooper stuff but wouldn't it be something if it were legit? And what if some shlub gets this all-important piece.

There's a guy on the RPF (do we still hate them over there? ) that offers resin casts of them for a decent price. That said, I'd like to upgrade to a NICE MG-15 myself so add me to the "interested" list please!

That last one is hilarious! Yeah, while you could tone it down a bit, but only if it bothers you, otherwise it looks perfectly fine.

How's this project coming along?

I think we might not find out what the drawbacks are until after people start receiving them out and have a chance to evaluate them. As for Paul's armor flexibility, AWESOME! I've ALWAYS thought that at least the ROTJ suits were like this. I refered to it as "spatula rubber". Remember this shot?:

Anybody got a shot of assembled AP shins so I can see what they look like? If the edges are butted up ANH style with the strip overlayed, can you really tell they use mirrored pieces? Thanks!
