ok so i have been on the boards for a few months now, but i never thought i would actually try for MEPD deployment, but as time went on i finally decided to go ahead and modify my TD to MEPD standards. For one thing i will have to part with my TK knee, which for some odd reason i REALLY REALLY like. So, thats got to go, and i need to convert my ab plate, but that was something i had planned to do for a while now. Hopefully i will make it in. As for the BFG i am in line for one of ArsonSmiths Lewis blasters. Will post pics as they come. cheers!

so you have an fx set, but you want another one in addition to that to make a sandtrooper? of course you can always just weather your TK that you have now and make it a sandy. i dunno. i think it is just a powder. looks like finely graded sand. if worse comes to worse you can order it online. thats what i did. no fullers earth around where i live.

i would think fliers are an awesome idea to start. maybe contact organizations within the community that do chairty work and see if they would have you at their fundraiser/event/ or what have you. its always worth a shot, besides, who can resist stormtroopers?

i used the pre existing straps from my drop boxes, removed the drop boxes, and fed the strap thru the slants at the back and stapled the two together. it hangs sorta at an angle, but so does the shoulder one, and i wanted to have it kinda hang down a little bit and be able to swing a little if i was bending over or moving around.

yeah i totally had that problem the first time around. im a very symetrical person, so weathering took me a while to get used to.

haha i made my order of the romfx today too. lol. hes gonna have to pound out those suckers now lol and yes... it puts me back so far in cash. then when i actually recover from that im picking up arsonsmiths lewis. god i need a better job.

romfx board is a changer board and an amp. from there its connected to a speaker, whereas the hyperdyne is a fx board but wires to an amp powered speaker. basically the hyperdyne requires more batteries i guess. becuase you have to power the board, as well as the amp/speaker. the romfx you just use two 9 volts and it powers the whole thing. but essentially yeah they do the same thing. its really up to you.

the aerator speakers are really cool, but the downside is that you can never get them loud enough that anyone can hear or understand what you are saying. if youre gonna drop 160+$$ on a voice unit i would say use the speaker he gives you and stick the speaker in one of your pouches. a few of the guys in our garrison did that (put the speaker in their hip pouch) and it sounds great, loud and its concealed. to be honest, like __ <--- that much wire shows. so its really minute.
