  1. Update: Belt, sniper knee and handplates not yet mounted. Still waiting on my pouches (any day now). Pauldron test. Now I only need to cut and sand in a few spots where the pieces pinch. Hey you, YES YOU!
  2. As Nol said, Troopermaster operates from the UK. Beautiful armor (if I may say so ) and a really nice chap
  3. Update: Straping system. Adjustable "suspenders" are attached to the AB and Kidney plate (crossed at the back). The elastic (canvas not yet attached) between Chest and Back plate (snap/snap) will be attached to the suspenders using velcro (currently taped). At the bottom the elastics holding the thighs are visable (snap at the AB, velcro at the thigh). Straping system (unfolded). Elastic between Kidney and Back plate (snap/velcro). Non elastic between Kidney and Butt plate (snap/snap). Elastic between AB and Kidney (snap/snap). Right side closes with velcro, left side is closed with 3 non elastics (snap/snap). Shoulder bells and biceps. Nylon ribbon connecting the two bells behind my neck (attached with snaps at both ends). Bicep is attached to the bell with an elastic ribbon (snap in the bell and velcro for easy adjustement in the bicep) The completed helmet (still working on the inside)! All handpainted except the stripes.
  4. Thnx Nol Np, I'll try to remember to grab a few shots of the inside/straping system for the next update.
  5. Update: Gluing the forearms. Ears in place. Man, those were hard to trim. There are no guide marks, whats so ever, on the TM ears. All upper body parts done, including straping system. Buttons on AB not yet glued. Rivets on the left side with snaps on the back. I might use velcro to close the left side instead of snaps/elastic. On the right side (not showing) theres a single "button" (I used the bottom side of a male snap) as there should be. That side is closed using velcro.
  6. Cheers Mads. Off to CO tomorrow then
  7. Ah! X-acto! I have all the sharp tools one could ask for (too many depending whom you ask). I was not entirely off when thinking about detailed files then. Cudos brothers!
  8. I was more thinking of a very narrow file. What exactly is am X-acto knife?
  9. Update: Started working on the helmet. I dare not cut the teeth more using the knife. I need another tool! Shoulder bells and biceps. Biceps not yet striped. Butt and Kidney plate with elastic straps in the back.
  10. Recharged the batteries. All but the left shin are trimed, sanded and taped together to see how well the parts fit. I've decided to work on the return edges once the parts are glued (hence the somewhat rough edges). I will probably remove most of the return edges on the back/chest/ab plates as well. Also a new blueprint with the latest modifications to my T21 build.
  11. I was about to take some new pictures but found the batteries dead. Oh well. Anyways, there's slow but steady progress. Almost all pieces are trimed and sanded so I'll start with the glue real soon ( I just need to get my hands on some magnets). In the meantime, here's a rendering of my T-21 model (modeled by me after loads of research). Views and section cuts will be transfered to a printed drawing. I'll cut out all parts and outline them on dif pieces of wood/plastic. I've done a first dummy test and Im happy with the results. A small animation attached. http-~~-//www.facebook.com/v/412405123603
  12. Ive been trying to find out a few things about the canvas belt and shoulder straps. Is this correct concerning the TD belt: * Height 3 inches * natural canvas is the most screen acc? * both natural and white canvas are good for deployment? * the screen used belt had 5 layers of canvas? * Velcro used at the back overlap? Ive found nothing on the canvas shoulder straps. * How wide should they be? * How many layers? Does anyone know?
  13. Its great to follow these build threads. I learn something every time Go Rolf, go!
  14. I was just pointed to this thread. Awsome geasture with the pack give-away! Im certain there are much more qulified individuals out there, but here goes: Im currently building my TD (TM armor) and a T21 from scratch. As Ive said in another (my TM build) thread Im a tad over my head (ongoing divorce among other things) building a pack as well. I will def build one in the future as Im aiming for deployed status (thnx guys for clearification on the dif statuses). I feels odd to nominate oneself :S Anyhow - grats to whomever is the lucky guy/gal.
  15. Ah, that clears it up. Cheers. Seems I'll be aiming for deployed then - once I build that pack
  16. Cheers lads Regarding "just TD or for deployment" Im still a tad confused. There seems to be so many dif levels (501st, deployed, elite...*headspin*). I will try to build as screen acc as possible but will probably not build a backpack in a near future. I really want one but I should focus on the armor and the T-21. Where does that leave me?
  17. Work in progress. I've actually used a dremel instead of scissors/knife to do the triming. It works like a charm once you get the hang of it. I've been vey careful not to let the dremel skid away on the shiny outside !!! The TM armor unpacked. Back pieces trimed and sanded. A tiny return edge still to be trimed on the butt plate. Front pieces trimed and sanded. Note the kidney plate - I have not trimed the sides (yet) until I've figured out if I need to shim the kidney/ab gap.
