  1. There are different versions of the Lewis Gun (ie British, American). We know they are slightly different from each other. Perhaps they have different front barrel diameters (Ive not been that thorough in my research). However, looking at screen caps Im fairly convinced (because of the ratio between main and front barrel) the onces used on screen have a front barrel closer to 75, rather then 63 mm. Again, IMHO
  2. Glad I could help. Hm..could be you got it from someone elses build? Anyhow, Ive used old blueprints/drawings to cross reference. The tapered barrel is approx 75 mm in those (although they are slightly off scale Id say there's a maximum span of +/- 5mm to the 75 mms).
  3. Sweet Panda! Lovely detailing and a superb paintjob. A +++++++, at the very least
  4. Does anyone know what swivel is used on the stock? It doesnt look like any Enfield swivel I've seen.
  5. For what its worth, my research gave me ~90/75 mm pipes. If wikipedia says 4.5' they are way off. IMHO.
  6. Thnx for the kind words Julius & Kenthork. Julius, Im sure we will bump in to each other
  7. Update: Just weathering to go. The T21 is almost complete. Sorry about the crappy cellphone pic.
  8. Update: Ive been slow on the updates. Anyhow here's what it looks like atm. Basically its a "Lewis gun" atm. Now to add the "T21 detailing".
  9. Panda, from my understanding that piece is just a "rear sight" someone made on his/her own T21. Ive seen detailed pics of it being made - cant remember where though. In the movies that piece looks alot more like a cord of some sort. Actually, I imagine there were three in total - 9/12/3 o'clock - only two (12/3) show in stills. This is just my personal specualtion though. I could be totally wrong ofc.
  10. Ive collected pics/blueprints/etc from the web. I only have my own blueprint as a dwg-file (it still needs a few changes that Ive come across as I build) wich I exported from my sketchup model. Below are three major blueprints/references. I´m not sure from where I got them all. The resolution is not as good as the ones I downloaded.
  11. Most def (they are already cut up). I will even add some in the front barrel (as they show if you look inside). In the beginning I was thinking of having them full lenght, but Im going with two sections (one in the back and one up front). There's a ton of details to be added/tweaked. I can only hope I make it to the finish line.
  12. Update: Work in progress on the stock. Work in progress on the details.
  13. So far Ive only built one suit, a TM, and I must say I love it. Im honestly considering to build another TM but would also love to try a TE2 just for reference sake.
  14. Woho! Let the celebrations begin!
  15. Since Im almost done with my armor (weathering and a few minor tweaks to go) I started to do some serious work on my T21. Prior to the actual woodwork I did a lot of research and created a 3D modell from wich I made blueprints. Here are some shots from the work in progress. My first dummy at the top. New "main body" to be cut out at the bottom. Blueprint parts glued (spray glue) on a board to be cut out. Ive been using boards of various thickness for different gun pieces. Various parts. Test fitting details on the main body. Barrel parts. The front piece is separate from the main piece (it slides into the main piece) wich will allow me to mount electronics afterwards. The seam will be hidden underneath the front ring (wich holds the front sight). Rear sight at lower left corner.
  16. Update Everything in place. I just need to add velcro to the back of the (canvas) belt, add some foam inside the forearms and dye my pouches. That leaves weathering and my T-21 wich I'll start to work on in a few days. The backpack will have to wait for now.
  17. Thnx Rolf, Coming from someone as experienced as you, it makes me very happy. Its been fun building and Ive learnt alot (what to do and what NOT to do on the next suit). Your weathering looks smashing Rolf - I think thats where I'll go for inspiration
  18. As someone mentioned, I have a "sleepy look" on the eyes. Its all by "design" but is it too much?
