  1. Thanks for the feedback Nol! Do you think I'm close to being able to get deployed status from what you saw? I installed the 3 buttons on the ab plate and the rivet covers the night before the shoot. I just have a few more mods on the dlt.
  2. Hey everybody, Me and my friend Tk6799 filmed this video for the NER this past weekend. Let me know what you guys think. http://vimeo.com/11958422
  3. Thanks Nol! I'm getting close to getting your old rifle converted
  4. Finished attaching it to the rifle, almost done painting.
  5. I actually combed my garage for anything plastic last night and couldn't find one thing useful. Lol. I finally settled on the notebook backing.
  6. Hey everyone, I was thinking of making the box that sits on the round ejector side of the DLT-19 out of some cardboard stock from the backing of a notebook pad. Has anyone used this material before, or had a problem if they used it? I've seen that a few people have used sheet metal for this, but I'm trying to fabricate it on the cheap!
  7. Congrats! Patches patches patches!!
  8. Hey everybody, I was wondering if anyone has found any material that is the most accurate for making T-tracks on their weapons. Particularly the DLT-19. Thanks!
  9. Would the DLT-19 fit in one of those ski bags? For those that roll with the 19, what do you use to cart it around?
  10. I wouldn't be caught dead carrying one of those wimpy E-11s. Lol. I sent you a PM. Very interested!!
  11. Hey everybody, I recently finished building an MG 34 out of wood not too long ago and was wondering if I have a chance at getting deployed with it. I assume I probably don't. I have included pics below. If it's too inaccurate, can anyone direct me to a kit or pre existing replica I can buy? Thanks!
  12. Have you tried taking extra abs plastic strips from your kit and shimming the seams to make your current forearms larger?
  13. Hey y'all. TD 2298 here. I just finished my armor, pack and rifle and am doing the final tweaks to get deployed status with the MEPD. I'm already addicted to trooping and am looking forward to participating in star wars weekends this year! Everyone on the boards here have been extremely helpful with pointers on getting my armor up to code.
  14. Thanks for all the feedback. I wound up storing it on top of my bin as well. I never thought to use a hockey bag though. I've been playing hockey as a goalie for a while and actually have a bag already and never even thought of that.
  15. Hey everybody, I just wanted to get an idea of how everyone stores and tranports their pack. It's such an awkwardly shaped piece and I just wanted to be able to transport it around without taking up too much space while also protecting it. Thanks!
  16. I was able to rig up a strap that fits under my armpits and around my back that really holds the pack at a solid height. I used polypropylene straps so there isn't any change in the length. The elastic straps just keep the pack from bouncing around and don't have to support it's full weight now. I'll get to try it out trooping this weekend.
  17. Thanks for the pic of the ammo strap on the right knee. I took the dremel to it last night. The straps for the backpack that I'm using now are elastic. Do you guys suggest that I replace them with regular fabric straps, so I have more control on the way that the pack sits?
  18. Thanks for all of your feedback guys. I actually started making the changes today that you guys have been suggesting. That is Velcro on my gloves as I have been struggling for a while trying to get them to fit better and not bunch up. Today I went to the surf shop and bought a tight fitting pair of diving gloves which fit much better. They probally are more accurate looking since I heard that the original TDs actually more rubber gloves. Is that true? Once again, thanks for your input. You guys know your stuff!
