  1. Late to the party (as usual). Happy Birthday Juan! Hope you had a great one brother!
  2. A fellow garrison mate of mine who has decided to convert his TK to TD picked up a bare bones MG-15 that needed lots of TLC. He asked me to paint it up for him. Since it lacked a tremendous amount of detail and was put together pretty sloppy, I decided to take it much further. A total strip down and rebuild. here is a list of what I did... 1. Installed new aluminum mounting brackets for all scopes. 2. Added new end cap. 3. Re-positioned the grip/trigger assembly. 4. Installed stainless steel braided coolant line. 5. Removed all mismatched screws holding the various parts together and replaced with rivets and new screws. 6. The ammo drums were plain. Added detail to drums including 25 plus raised strips to each drum (can anyone say TEDIOUS!) 7. Installed webbing across top of ammo drums. 8. New machined aluminum assembly bolt for easy barrel removal and weapon breakdown. 9. New paint and weathering, including some metallic bronze for the scopes. Here is how it turned out...
  3. Looks really good bro! Three things I see... You need to cut the small 45 degree angles on the corners of your ammo belt. Your knee ammo strip also needs to be rounded on the 2 bottom corners. Will also eed to see a pic of your shoulder straps. Other than that, should be good to go. Good Luck!
  4. Thanks for the props guys. You know Rick and I do our best to keep you geared up. Hey Rick, take care of him if he needs one. I have a waiting list as long as my arm and it would be at least 6-8 weeks before I could get to him.
  5. Thanks guys! We were just asked to come back next week to have lunch with the cadets in the mess hall, take a tour of the Point, and later, suit up and escort Vader for a few surprise room inspections! Should be another fun day!
  6. Looks fantastic. Great attention to all the details. Should be an easy pass.
  7. The Empire City Garrison was asked to attend a tribute to the West Point Volunteers to celebrate there achievement in raising over $2 million dollars to help surrounding communities and families in need. In attendance was our XO Bob D. as Vader, Gerrit O. in his ROTJ TK, and the MEPD's very own John H. AKA "Quartermaster" as TD. The event was called "The Force behind the Force" with a Star Wars Theme. A 3 star general was in attendance as well as other high ranking military personel. The West Point musicians introduced us to the crowd by playing the "Imperial March" and the rest of the night played an array of Star Wars music from the movies. After the inside festivities, we were asked to go outside where the Cadets were marching in formation on the main fields. Vader was then given the honor of reviewing the troops and the troops did something only done for the President and high ranking military officials. Each group acknowledged him with "eyes right" when passing. Even the color guard presented to him. It was a special troop and one to remember. Here are a few pics from the event...
  8. Trooperbay.com Check with Mike, I'm sure he can get one to you quickly.
  9. Hey Marcus. Check the pic of the Segeants Pack in this detailed post about all the pack variations. http://www.looksirdr.../backpacks.html It appears that tha pipe runs from the top of the frame to the bottom on the left side. Going by the size I make my pack frames, which you now have one, I usually go about 15" give or take a 1/4 inch. I don't think there are any exact measurements for this piece out there.
  10. Let me be the 1st to say CONGRATS!!!!! Great job Pete!
  11. What's up with that? TD's MAKE ANH what it is!
  12. AWESOME job Pete! I don't see anything that is out of place. Should be a very easy pass for Juan and the staff. BTW...love action shot #2. That's a keeper. Will make a great deployment pic!
  13. Love the series! The wife and I have Zombie parties every Sunday night it airs with some close friends and family. **** Carl! He should have gotten bitten already! I love kids, but this little punk has to go! LOL Maybe his parents should keep a closer eye on him! No parent in there right mind would allow there kid to just wonder around unchecked in Zombie Land!
  14. Welcome back Simon! The fiance is looking totally bad a$$! Great job on the armor. The background set is very cool as well!
  15. Hey Chuck, just showed AJ your pics. He has a BIG smile on his face. His exact words were..."Mr. Woodchuck! He looks awesome!" Guess we have his seal of approval!
  16. Most attach it based on personal preference. To be screen accurate, look at a screen shot from the movie for the pack you are doing and mount it in a similiar location. I think most sit low on the pipe covering the lower tube cap.
  17. Looks really good Todd. Pack is sitting a bit low on your back. May want to adjust those pack straps so it sits higher. Other than that, should be an easy pass!
  18. Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Chuck! I am so happy for you. I know it has been a long time coming. For the record, I think Chuck missed a letter in his Character Designation. He is an AT-ST Driver. He also has all the hard armor for an AT-AT Commander or General Veers. Both characters use the same bucket and similiar soft parts. Let's see some pics Chuck!!!!!
  19. Yes sir...it is. Will PM you tomorrow with more info Marcus.
  20. I have been getting some requests lately for specific parts and the Sergeants Pack round filter has been one of them. With the SWAT program in place, I decided to try to make a more accurate looking filter. It measures about 6 3/4" L x 3 3/4" in diameter. I will be posting this in my "Backpack Parts Ready to Install" thread soon. It will come with mounting bolts, washers and wing nuts installed. Here is how it came out...
