  1. I was thinking that getting individual patches for all of the three weapons, would end up being rather expensive, plus, we don't actually have a name in the Star Wars for the MG-15. I'll go ahead and make up four patches: one for the Lewis, MG-15, MG-34, and one with the Lewis and the MG-34 crossing in the middle. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions, and I'll get things going on my end.
  2. ... And by pick up, you mean for free right boss
  3. Now that I'm done with classes I'd love to do some design work... Over the next week or so, I'll sit down and look for some reference pictures and bounce some ideas off of you guys... That is unless someone else really has their heart set on designing the patch. Right now, after reading the ideas that everyone has had, I'm thinking that the shape should be either relatively the same shape as the MEPD patch or perhaps an oval. I'm thinking that it should be the Lewis and MG-34 crossed in the middle, and MEPD Heavy Weapons Unit in Aurabesh at the top and English at the bottom. Let me know what you guys think and I'll get started.
  4. I hope you guys at sci-fire end up selling some of the parts that you made for the packs before scrapping the project... I don't care how much they are... I'll buy parts.
  5. Seth - I'd love to help out with a donation. How much do we need and would it be a once a year cost or a one time service fee? Let me know and I'd be more than happy to contribute via PayPal.
  6. I'd be interested in getting a set of the main boxes. 2 black and 2 gray. Thanks! Hopefully, you'll be able to do both the 3 stripe and 5 stripe versions.
  7. Awesome! Glad to hear that you got your TD approved. Now you just need to get deployed to MEPD.
  8. :::shudder::: I would think that someone at Hasbro would look at a picture of ANY stormtrooper and realize that that bucket looks like someone stepped on it... Unless they've been employing trained monkeys again... Then it's a whole 'nother ballgame.
  9. HOLY RUSTED METAL BATMAN! That is one fine Lewis! I can't wait to see that baby when it's done. I think that I would be scared to troop with that one...
  10. BWAHAHAHA... no seriously... Thanks for sending the vid of the rotocast machine in action. That is some serious engineering right there man. I can't wait to see how the new lewis guns come out! Definitely put me on the list for one.
  11. Looking good Rob! I still need to get my butt in gear and get mine put together. Hopefully it'll be as good as yours! Good job ner vod.
  12. Looking good bro! Just get that pack weathered and let's see some pictures of you wearing it. Take care!
  13. From your pictures, it looks like you still need that diamond/sniper knee-plate on your left greave. Other than that, your armor looks pretty good, I especially like that darker splatter from left to right. The knee-plate should be pretty easy to come by... just ask around here and you should be able to find someone (try ArsonSmith) to buy one from.
  14. I would also agree with this. Chris' (or should I say his wife's )neck seals are top notch and I have yet to see anything better.
  15. Your weathering is awesome, I love it. If you ever need any TD help, you know where to come. We'd all be more than happy to help you out with anything that you might need.
  16. Sahweet! Good luck on the project Seth. I know that I'll be checking for frequent updates Can't wait to see the finished parts.
  17. Brak - The photo links don't seem to be working for me. Just thought that I would let you know...
  18. It's been a while since the last post. Matt, do you still think that you found the correct pans for the main box? If so, let's see some pics!
  19. I have a dance leotard that has a zipper up the back and a zipper for bathroom breaks. I'd have to say that I love it the best because I don't have to worry about the UnderArmor logo showing on the back and it was a whole lot cheaper than a set of UnderArmor.
  20. I'd have to say that for me, it is a toss up between the Lewis and the MG-34. They are both equally badass, but when it comes to costuming, the MG-34 is cheaper, so that's what I own. I still want a Sci-Fire Lewis and MG-34 though...
  21. Chris - I would also suggest using velcro and just working out a temp fix that you know will hold for the day, and then going back and trying to figure out a better and more permenant fix. I would suggest taking industrial velcro and placing a long strip of the fuzzy side on the inside of both thighs and the ab plate. I would then suggest using nylon webbing or elastic, whichever you have on hand or can obtain easiest, and stapling, as Seth suggested, or sewing, if you have the means and the time, the hook part to the nylon or elastic. You should be able to adjust the hight of the thighs fairly easily with this method and industrial velcro is a @#%!& to remove once the adhesive has set up... I actually have to pull it off with a pair of pliers so that I can get a better grip on it.... Hope this helps and your troop goes successfully tomorrw and happy birthday to your son!
