  1. TE is right this is a vac seal tupperware lid. It comes apart so you can run your screw to the base and then just snap your cover back on. That way you see no screw but can get to it any time you need it. Also don't paint it white! It comes clear, paint the base black this will give the clear top a milky grey color. This is the screen accurate way to do it. Look at all the photos from a new hope. If you compare the white of the end caps to the dish it is clearly not white. Also the base is painted black in the film as well.
  2. Very nice work! You should be proud of it.
  3. This is a short tutorial for making a shoulder pouch. http://td8733.com/ShoulderPouch.html
  4. Master Modelers medium blue is dead on for the screen pack color. Marmits and Kotobukiyas pack color choice is not even close. They tend to be grey or turquoise. Pick up a can and see what you think.
  5. Thanks, thats what most guys use here. It seems to be the best thing going. Anyone prefer something else?
  6. I was looking for some feedback on what different Troopers prefer for this stuff. I know what all our local guys here in Richmond use. What do you guys from other areas like to use? Thanks for any help given.
  7. Very Nice! What did you use for the main boxes? I noticed they have the little ridges running across them.
  8. Agreed! There packs look like little oxygen bottles. Sometimes advances in technology are not a good thing. The attempt to improve on the original design trashed! IMHO
  9. If you cant find the art tubes you can also use much smaller diameter pvc then cover it with black rubber pipe insulation. I did this on my pack. Its very light and no painting is required. http://td8733.com/Backpack.html
  10. Just a photo of a Tupperware mod. http://td8733.com/images/Picture_051.jpg
  11. If any of you guys are interested I added several close up's of the MG 34. http://td8733.com/DLT19.html
  12. I hear you Luke. You and I had this conversation before. I have managed to locate one rebuilt around $650.00. Not to worried about the weight (24lbs) and as far as the kids go best to carry the gun up rather then barrel down, that way you dont risk decaping them. Like I said before there is just something about the feel you get with real parts but thats just me. Certainly no risk of authentic being brought up. It is what it is.
  13. Does anyone know a good source for a replica MG34. I am looking for a high quality weapon. I know Hyperfirm makes great items and no offense but I just want I rifle that feels real and heavy not rubber. I have found one place that sells them in a non firing capacity with original MG34 parts it runs $800.00 is that my best deal?? Thanks for any help. Ross, TD 8733
  14. Thanks, I hope its helpful. It seems the shoulder pouch is the one item that gives Sandtroopers the hardest time to acquire.
  15. If you wan't a screen accurate pouch you can mod your own from a MP40 pouch from IMA. Here is the link. www.TD8733.com
  16. Please give me your thoughts on this pack. http://td8733.com/Backpack.html
