  1. For the straps I used heavy elastic fabric . I think about 3/4 inch wide stretch rite brand. I have it all attached with heavy duty snaps that I pieced to small bits of ABS and then glued to the armor. I pretty much just pitched all the velcro that came with the armor kit!!! Let me know should you need anything else.
  2. Nothing too complicated but it works and functions well.
  3. Good Eve, First - codpiece - I cut mine and attached with 3 strips of elastic and snaps. It seems to offer a bit more mobility plus the whole restroom thing. Thighs - same as above - I use elastic and snaps to the ab plate. I have looked into the "belt" for the thighs but have yet not had any problems. Calf - Stupid calf ... mine does the same. I had to shim my calves but find if I don't situate them just right the left will start to rotate to the left. I have not found a good solution to this yet as they are pretty form fitting and foam would not help.
  4. Bah, I think there is nothing more awesome then a TD trooping in full gear. Yeah the pack wears on the back and the BFG the arms but hey, tis what aspirin and beer is for. mmmm beer. It is worth the bit of discomfort imo to fill the role of a MEPD deployed trooper.
  5. Loved the unfortunate costumes...
  6. I'll take 2. Put em next to crispy anakin...
  7. Yep boots then the calves... I open them a little further each time just to see how far I can push it, a little game I like to play. As far as an emergency kit - Large tackle box with just bout anything you need , the above items + wire soldering iron + flux glue gun + glue rivet gun + rivets spare lenses & mic tips pieces of ABS various adhesives speakers etc...
  8. 6'2" 210# Here. Had to shim and trim a bit.
  9. I have mine right below the frown. I pick up some feedback if the radioshak amp is turned up all the way. Someone mentioned glueing the mic into a cap from a 2 liter and that would help. I have not tried it yet. Tis also been mentioned to put foam in behind the speakers and that would help also. Once again have not tried this option. May do both this weekend since no football.
  10. Good Eve, I was watching those on Ebay and was interested until I noticed no electronic payment. Looks like a good buy. I was able to pick up the 3.5 pack from a Brit. Can't wait to get em cleaned & dyed.
  11. Sweet, what did you find those under - I have been keeping an eye on "ammo pouches" for months and have yet to see those. Closest are the Sith Armor pouches that keep popping up. Thanks,
  12. I too would be very much interested. Looks great and love the weight. Please keep us posted.
  13. The knee piece had not been finished/polished. I of course did not think about plastic absorbing the paint until it was toooo late. I like to say that I snipe a bit more than the average trooper. I think I drove my wife a bit crazy with the wiping off the paint, adding the paint , wiping off the paint of the process. Thanks too all for the feedback
  14. Here is a more recent photo. I added another layer to the ab to match the rest. Camera flash still washes a bit out.
  15. Good Eve, Here it is.... I used the DentedHelmet method and paints Please be gentle!!!! MEPD here I come....
