  1. Well have fun with your kit! Building it is the most fun I think. For the 3 buttons I've seen guys use little circular magnets and just glue then on, if you went that route I'm sure you could pick them up at a home depot or lowes. If you want just plastic buttons try contacting ATA, he usually parts out things.....never hurts to ask Oh and btw.....SHOW US DEM PICS!
  2. Hey Robert, Glad to see you made it on here....nice looking suit btw!
  3. This sounds interesting. Since I'm currently unemployed this seems like it might be a decent way to make a little bit of cash...thanks for posting!
  4. I think I'm just going to do the ol Velcro it to my chest plate lol. Now for my scout I'll just put it in a pouch with the voice amp and run it up to my bucket.
  5. That's a nice looking bucket. Only thing I think you need to remove/cover is the black "rank" bar on the ears as I don't recall TDs having that.
  6. Ok here is the finished CAP-W! A thanks goes out to Scootch for all the help! I finished the weathering yesterday and I am very happy with it, to me it looks like there's actual sand on it other then just dirt heh what y'all think? http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/goahawk/5324254654/
  7. I've used a spray glue that works well with foam. You can buy it at pretty much any craft store like Joanns or Michale's.
  8. Shade 5 is way awesome for bright days but insanely dark for night troops. I just bought shade 3 for my scout and it's wonderful!
  9. Thanks guys. I had the CAP-W assembled for me and I will assemble the AP my self. Once it's all said and done I will do some compare shots.
  10. Well, I've made a decision....ok two decisions, I went with a CAP-W which I wont be able to have till xmas and an AP. The AP was offered up as seconds due to a very minor flaw on the cap. I'll post pics when I have them thanx everyone for your help!
  11. Awesome CONGRATS! your armor is looking very cool, now start working on getting deployed!
  12. Well if your armor is HIPS, I would say leave it the way it is and just start the weathering. It's really up to you, but yeah go dirty for your application photos
  13. The Commanding Officer gave me an order....I MUST obey! I will relay my findings to the girl friend for final say HAH! Thanks guys for your help
  14. Hey Nol, Yeah I'm the TD It's an ATA. What makes it seem bit to me is the ears, this was my first helmet so naturally it's not the best. I would trim down the ears more but I ummm glued the bottom of them to the bucket becuase they were sticking out when I put them on. So in a way this is just an excuse for me to get a new bucket haha! I can't seem to find any info on who to contact for TM. I'll keep looking around.
