  1. You're right. They do sort of look like Developing Trays.
  2. This is what I get for paying attention at the work place rather than goofing off on the Sandtrooper site. Seems like every time I turn around, TE's got some new info being ready to be hurled at us. Good stuff. Can't wait to see pics. I've been needing to make a backpack so whatever you're found out will be really helpfull and cool for all.
  3. I think it may depend. For myself, I did my bucket last. Mostly because I was scared to death about messing up. But it did help because you can put on your chest piece and neck seal and test out how the helmet would fit with everything. Especially if you're the type of person who isn't blessed with a lengthy neck. For the record, I installed my liner before putting the whole bucket together. By luck, everything fit alright lol. I did a test fitting by taping my helmet together. Also, make sure your chest armor doesn't ride upward. That can cuase the helmet to not sit properly. After all of that you also have to just keep in mind that the FX helmet is bigger than the actual screen used helmets. So problems may occur but for most, it isn't a big deal.
  4. Shasta McNasty, what happened there?!
  5. Yes, please post up some pics once you finish and get the chance. I'd love to see how you're going to rework the system since you can't cut a hole near the chin piece on the AP helmet. I have an RT-mod bucket and cutting the chin are wouldn't do for that either. I want to install my speaker to my helmet if I could and if there would be little to no feedback at high volumes. Did you use the mic that came with the kit? I'm trying to wrap my head around how to keep it on my head and close to my mouth since it isn't a headset-mic combo type of thing.
  6. Is that the amp sitting in the front of your bucket? You didn't get harsh feedback at all? Looks great, btw. What going on with the aretor area? Did you have some osrt of fans going on there?
  7. I haven't looked into anything like that but it's always been in the back of my mind. If I had the technical skills and know how, I'd create a system/mod for myself.
  8. That was Slavefive, Oh ok. Haven't been there since last month. Similar name confused me.
  9. Are you serious? I saw your goodbye post last month and didn't see anything wrong. That banning seems a bit drastic.
  10. Cool to see that you all had a good time. I mean, how can you not have a good time in Hawaii? Well...I guess unless you're being hunted by Dog the Bounty Hunter. But I digress. Good to see a good time was had by all.
  11. You know what? If you have spare material, you should vacuform a TK suit for your girlfriend's Teddy Bear. See how she reacts. Regarding the TE helmet mold, God that thing is beautiful.
  12. Yep. I signed up under the name "Arppegio". I use that at the Clonetroopers forums as well. I had signed up to the OLG forums around the same time I applied for 501st memebership but haven't gotten a reply back yet. I already informed Adam in my last email since he asked the same question.
  13. Sorry, I meant I'm an offical 501st member now. Not MEPD just yet. My next step is going full sandy. I'm almost, semi sort of, kinda of, close to there. I have the materials to go dirty but I still need to either buy another ab plate with the sandtrooper box or, cut my current ab plate and replace the current plate. I then also need to either remove my knee plate and install my sniper plate or buy another shin piece and just install the sniper plate on that. And then get started on a backpack. I have a BFG coming in so when that does, I need to paint that. But for now, I'm an offical TK.
  14. I have now been registered as TK-1678 and assigned to the Old Line Garrison! I can now say I am an official soldier of the empire.
  15. I'd like to get a PM price check as well, please. Just so I know how much to save up.
  16. You're in Maryland? Have you not looked into joining the 501st and hooking up with the OLG? Already have. Me and Adam have been sending emails back and forth for the past few days. Turned in my pictures and just waiting on his reply back. I've already signed up on the OLG boards too under the name "Arppegio" (which is what I also use in the Clonetroopers.net boards as well). I'm just waiting on the approval for the OLG boards. So hopefully soon Maryland will have another trooper to fear.
  17. Me as well. I'm going to drive to the closest one to see if they got any. I was thinking I had to drive out 30 minutes to get to one. Then my brain released it's fart and I remembered there was one in the shopping center 1 minute from my house, lol. That thing looks perfect.
  18. Wohoo! Got my Rom/FX in today. Tested it out and man it's great. Just need to figure out how I'm going ot mount it up. The mic it's going to be the hardest part. I know your mouth needs to be right up on it but it seems like I'm french kissing the thing. I need to figure a way to keep it close to my lips.
  19. You almost had me. But since I have a friend who constantly tries to "pull a fast one" on me and our other friends, we've developed a sixth sense about these things. Well....actually he still gets me sometimes and my one hopelessly gullible friend. But my sixth sense kicked in this time! lol
  20. I too have used your site many many times. ****, I still go back and look at it from time to time since you have some great shots of your TE armor. Always a great site and nice updates indeed.
  21. I have only one word to sum it up with, "Sweet"!
  22. Yeah I used that for putting my armor itself together rather than the ABS glue. I just wanted to put that bad boy on right away, lol. Thanks for the help, everyone. After also getting a response from TK409, and wandering the isles of Home Depot (mostly because I had forgotten what else I needed to get there) I ended up buying a putty that's made for repairing plastics such as PVC and ABS that I found near the paint supply section. TK409 said that he got his from the plumbing section but wasn't sure on the brand. After comparing the two types I found, I decided to go with the one from the paint section. It's called Quickplatsik or something. I'll try to post a pic when I can. I'm trying to find a good place to start a website for myself to show what I've got/done. The putty itself is pretty nice. Strong bond and easy to work with. Stinks like **** when first applying it but that's gone away now that it's hardened. At least I think it has. I painted the interior of my helmet with some enamel paint so it still has that smell in it that could mask any other smell, lol.

    shims

http://www.cloudcitysquad.com/mods/basicmo...ges/shims02.htm That isn't mine. But I came across it and maybe it can help you out.
  24. Actually both those helmets belong to different people. They are both modeled after Davin Felth's helmet. http://thedentedhelmet.com/davin/davin_details.htm Click on that to see who Davin Felth is.
  25. Lil ol' Obiwan...buying a car. http://stupidvideos.com/video/just_plain_s..._kenobi_Soping/ Thought you guys would enjoy it. If you haven't seen it already, I mean.
