You might want to consider adding the rings to the BFG...
Other than that and modification to your helmet to fill the gap, to me it looks great.
Saludos
Thanks Juan....I was looking into rubber stripping for it. Do you think that will work?
-
If anyone has any suggestions or has questions i truly welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
-
great idea Gordon...I never even thought about it...ive been so focused on weathering...i knew i was going to raise the brow but overlooked the seams...i think the seam is more obviouse now since the helmet is so dirtyLooking good there Rick. Just a suggestion, you may want to consider covering up the seam lines running across the area under the frown.
Update!!! This is how obsessive i am...i already filled the gaps looks awesome...in about 3 hours i should be able to reweather in that area...thanks for the suggestion

They even showed your name on screen... cool!
Saludos...

ok...heres another question. MEPD requires no drop boxes on belt. However, they are shown in certain pics and scenes in ANH. has the rule changed???

Great site but I cant find any way to purchase items

Still need....does anyone have any other options?

I used the same canvas material as my belt for mine. But like Mike said you could use some strapping underneath to join the front & back pieces of your chest armor.
Here is a reference pic from www.looksirdroids.com :
that indicated "Vaccuformed ribbed straps were added over the shoulder of the stormtrooper armor to help hide the connection of the chest and back plate. The sandtrooper lacks these ribbed straps.***."
Thank you....I checked out that link and it does help.

Does anyone have a good picture for sandtrooper shoulder straps? I was originally going to use cnvas to match the belt but learned that it was actually elastic. If anyone has a pic either original or what you have done to accomodate this upgrade i would appreciate it.
-
I have a crashman radio if you would like that. It's complete with all part ( sides buttons etc ) $35 plus shipping.
That would be awesome! Do you want to paypal invoice me at rickbates1@lycos.com? I will pay right now

Hi, Im totally new and actually this is my first post...Im trying to build a sandtrooper backpack but continue to run into what seems to be the same problem for everyone. Where can i buy the radio?!? Ive used some makeshift parts to put a temp in place, but Im trying to be 100% on this thing prior to attempting to join the MEPD. Ive checked the boards and followed links but ran into dead ends everytime. any help would be really appreciated.
