  1. Found a solution that also seems to work, 2 back supports. One directly above the other. My back does not ache anywhere near as much as it used to.
  2. Thanks for the advice. It looks like I have everything covered except the Advil. If anyone has any other tips that they use please let me know as my back would greatly appreciate it.
  3. I forgot to mention I added a chest strap. I guess it's one of things you just have to suck it up.
  4. Do any troopers have any issues with sore backs from wearing a back pack? After about 3 hrs my lower back starts screaming. My shoulders are good, it's just my back.
  5. Thanks for the positive feed back. I have to say, the kids and adults go nuts when I troop with this. The blasters on this thing freely rotate and they love playing with them.
  6. I haven't posted in quite sometime and I thought I'd share some pics of the MEPD quad
  7. Agreed! My quad with your Hummer think of the possibilities.....
  8. I thought I'd share my new project here: http://s734.photobucket.com/albums/ww350/wisstk7046/
  9. Thanks for all the advice and helpful tips. Its awesome to get deployed status.
  10. Thanks for all your support bro... lookin forward to troopin with ya soon
  11. OMG my eyes have gone crossed. Just kidding, I think I know what your talking about. Any pics?
  12. Yes you are correct. I've been sitting hear staring at the diamond calf piece scratching my head trying to figure out what I did wrong. I'm glad you commented because I was getting a little stressed out on this one. It took me 3 days to make a new diamond piece and about three layers of paint to get it where it looks good. Soooooo I guess I'm ready (with my fingers crossed).
  13. The line of the center diamond is a little higher than where my shin would be. I used the reference photos to sight it.
  14. I have updated my original pic link with the requested upgrades: http://s734.photobucket.com/albums/ww350/wisstk7046/TD-7046/ Knee Plate: I have removed my old plate and added the sniper knee plate by following the supplied tutorials Backpack: I have joined the siphon to the hamburger stackers and added a radio knob to the upper right hand corner Ab buttons: I have patched the hole where my 4th button used to be Front/Back chest: I have joined the front/back chest pieces with canvas. I left the old pics in so you can see the changes.
  15. Thanks for teh advice. I guess there's nothing glue and velcro can't fix.
  16. Will the canvas support the weight and stress of the shoulder bells? Im afraid to attach them and have them rip off.
  17. Thanks for all the advice. I have finished the backpack, buttons, canvas shoulder straping and remade the diamond knee plate following the advice posted on this thread. I will weather to match and post pics within the next few days. I do have one more question, how do I rig my shoulder bells? Do I attach them to the canvas strips holding my front/back chest pieces together? Mike TD7046
  18. I have removed the canvas straps from the front/back chest pieces and will be mounting them on the inside. I will also be using the supplied tutorial to make a sniper knee plate. I did remove the 4th button prior to the original phots and made a grove as I have seen on some sandtroopers (don't know why?). I have since put the removed piece back in the "bread board" and will patch up the cut lines. Are these the last mods that I need to make?
  19. What are the dimensions for the knee plate? I thought I copied the right dimesions but maybe not.
  20. I fianlly got off my but and I am requesting deployment. http://s734.photobucket.com/albums/ww350/wisstk7046/TD-7046/ Michael Wissman TD-7046 Wiss7046 Garrison: Carida Wisskid2@comcast.net
