  1. Hey bro, as I wrote before, hang in there and do not let the sadness overwhelm you! You are a good person and a loving dad, that is thte most important thing - and as you can see from this thread, there are many troopers out there with support and care; you are not alone! All the best your friend Patrick
  2. Hey there, my sandy brothers! It has been a while since I have posted here last... I have been quite busy at home and work and had to put the forums aside for a bit. But now I am back - at least partly...! ;-) One of the reasons for my absence was another project that needed my attention...not quite from the Star Wars world but see for yourselves... Good to see this forum still up and running with all you guys posting and keeping it alive! TDs rock! Cheers Patrick
  3. Good job, bro! I am glad to hear that you have managed to work things out! Cheers P.
  4. Amazing - beauiful - awesome!
  5. Geez, you saved my life!! Thanks and cheers Patrick
  6. Hey all, maybe it is just me or my setup but when opening the MEPD site this morning, the 'view new content' button was gone... I miss it...very much...! Is there any reason for this or does someone got an idea how I could bring it back...? Help me, MEPD, you are my only hope... Cheers Patrick
  7. Looking good - imo:go for them! Cheers P.
  8. Nol, your list is looking very good! I especially like topic 3 as this would be the key-factor for anyone needing help with and planning to build up a TD suit - looking ofrward to it! Cheers Patrick
  9. Hey bro, good idea! As you know, I am using the same undersuit but have the same 'problems' you described. I am thinking about trying out a different solution: motorcycle underwear! I woul dlike to have somethting that would be very tight fitting, so that might do the trick. The undersuit that shadowdalecreations is offering looks tempting as well, although it is a bit high priced. Anybody got experience with this one? Cheers P.
  10. Ah, sounds interesting - if you need another actor, let me know! The sound did not wok for me either... Cheers P.
  11. Hahaha, awesome, bro - it rocks! And what a talented actor... Cheers P.
  12. Wow, that JU-87 is amazing! As I have and always had a deep interest in planes, I have always wanted to build something that could actually fly; unfortunately, I have never left the stage of 1/32 scale plastic model kits...! Cheers P.
  13. Looking good - cannot wait to see the final assembly! Cheers P.
  14. That little artist...they should have foreseen this...! And at that age, you look so much like Sylvester...unbelievable...! Nice idea, bro - so let me jump in right away! I was born in 1970 and always into science-fiction. It began with radio drama and the like, cartoons and comic books and ended up with my first movie in cinema. I still remember it just as if it was yesterday! It was a boring sunday and I had nothing to do when my mother told me that she wanted to go out and take a stroll in a nearby mall with me - 'dang, what a great idea', I though to myself - a six-year old going on a shopping trip with his Mom on a sunday where all the stores in Germany are closed...thanks but no thanks... Anyway, we walked the long pathways of the mall for quite a while and the longer we went, the more suspicious I became...I thought, I remembered a small cinema being in that area...could that be...?? And finally, turning around a corner, the entrance to the cinema wide open in front of us and a HUGE statue of R2D2 and C3PO before me (they were lifesized but hey, I was six... ), it occured to me what would happen next: I got to see ANH with her which was overwhelming and changed my life completely! That was in 1977, I guess... No doubt that I saw every episode as soon as it came out! This fascination of Science-Fiction in general and especially Star Wars prevailed ever since but it took me more than 30 years to get to the point and finally pick up my tools to buy and build armour! It is never too late to do the right thing, no? Well, that is my story... Cheers P.
  15. *lol* Great pictures, dude! Hahaha, totally like them! Cheers P.
  16. Oh, I am not into the SE packs either...old guys for the OT...! Anyway, great topic by the way, which brings me to a different point: what about the colours? I know this has been discussed before but apart from the 'normal' Humbrol 47, what else are you guys using? These shots that Rolf brought up, sort of refreshed my thoughts about this colour thing again, as on some pics the respective parts seem to be grey in colour... Cheers P.
  17. As you all are mentioning it, I totally forgot about my ID! But it is not that much of a story...! As all my favourite combinations were unavailable, I chose a combination of the birthyears of my wife and me: 76 (wife) 70 (me)... Cheers P.
  18. Awesome, my friend! The suit itself is absolutely beautiful and you - as always - did an amazing job assembling it! Hail to the king - the TD king! Cheers P.
  19. Oh well, my story is short! My name is Patrick and my friends are calling me 'Padde' - that's all there is to it...! ;D Cheers P.
  20. Hey bro, nice idea! Well, got a smart *** pic myself - check it out: And some with 'the gang' for fun... Cheers P.
  21. Ahhh, finally -beautiful, my friend! You hit the spot again! Awesome work! Cheers P.
  22. I will be there too - looking forward meeting you all! If you need help with anything, let me know. Cheers Patrick
