  1. Oh dang! Now I feel even worse about selling my Karman Ghia earlier this week It was my 3rd VW and the one I owned the longest. Hopefully one day I will own that 21 window deluxe. Sweet 65 there PNerves! Anyway, heres a couple of shots of a tag I made for my current "family friendly" vehicle: Enjoy! Later
  2. Matt, Good luck, keep your chin up. There is a reason for everything, though we may not see it now, someday this will all make sense and you will be happy with the way things turn out. Life is funny that way, I know from experience. It is how we learn life's lessons that lead to enlighenment. If I may quote from a well known composer: "some of Gods greatests gifts, are unanswered prayers" I hope to see you around again some day but this is about you and what is best for you, sometimes that means walking away from something alltogether and forever, it is not easy, but it is not impossible either, that too, I know from experience as I have had to walk away from people in my life never to be seen or heard from again, but I did what I knew was best for me, you need to do what is best for you, dont worry if you dont know right now, when the time is right, you will know. Again good luck and remember, the sky is not the limit, the ground is! So shut up and jump! Later
  3. The colors Ill have to get back to you on, theyre in the bottom of my bin and Im on my way to an armor party, but I do know that you can get them at any railroad/train model store along with the Fuller's earths. Ianl, we got an armor party in Plant city today, come on down Seriously, let me know if I can help in any way, at least through online communication, though Vampyregodz was the one who showed me how to do it, and Im sure he's given you good instructions too. Ill get back with those colors soon. Later
  4. I know the previous owner (notice my sig banner) and the reason he put that plate there is because the way it fit him, its the only way for it not to stab him. We actually dirtied our suits together so I had my hand in that . Make sure you use woodland paints and fuller's earths to dirty the new pieces and youll be nice and even. Later
  5. Welcome aboard! Please report to your local post ASAP for proper "dirtying".....Further instructions will follow thereafter. Later
  6. UGH! Best wishes and fast recovery! Let us know how youre doing as soon as you can! Good luck! Later
  7. I call it the most "fun" way to get "insider" info......... BTW, she's also a superior officer: Michael Stackpole actually came looking for us at Dragoncon because he had heard that someone was dressed as Iceheart and he just had to meet her. I asked him if there was any improvement needed on the costume and he told us that it was perfect and even signed our Essential Guide to Characters book! Later
  8. ?????uhhhh... .she's a girl anyways, she's just under two, still a little young, doesnt do too good with costumes just yet, only long enough to take pics really. I started my oldest daughter at about 2 1/2 and she's done well with it. She used to be a little padawan: now she's 5 and loves being a jawa: she wants an ewok next, I think Ill wait till she outgrows the jawa, by then my youngest should be ready to inherit the jawa and full time trooping with the family: Yes, I know, my armor is clean in the family pic Later
  9. Hey everyone, I just wanted to show off my future Imperial recruit. Whatdaya think? My wife made the whole thing out of vinyl which she molded using my armor pieces, then she sowed everything to a black cotton "onesy". Notice the "dirty" detail. Can anyone say future sandtrooper? Later
  10. Same here, now that I FINALLY have a good working computer with a fast connection I would like to help out as well. If we get several people on this it could help to speed up the proccess. Could someone put the templates on the gallery for us to have access to? Then we could get peoples' pics sent by e-mail. Just a thought. PM me or email skyshark93@yahoo.com Later
  11. 5'10 here, but that doesnt really matter when Im out with the Tampa Bay PD. Look at our sig banner, Im the second from the right (white pauldron, only BFG) and all the other guys make me look like a shorty anyway. When asked "arent you a little short bla bla bla..." I just tell people to "move along, move along" Later
  12. Just of me with other people mostly, havent taken an actual headshot since dirtying it. Ill get one done and get it to you, dont have a digital camara though so it might be a few days. thanks Later
  13. Well Ive been going back and forth for years now, I made the backpack, binos, got pouches, all that stuf years ago, I just never went dirty because I wanted to be able to go clean again if I wanted to. So pUG introduces me to his method which is cleanable, but I gotta tell ya, now I dont ever wanna be clean again! Later
  14. An idea that I got from Bamatrooper a long time ago is to put the patch on the lowest, outermost corner of your pauldron. I wore my SO patch there for years, and if I get a MEPD patch, that's where itll go unless we all decide on something else. Later
  15. Im the second from right.(the only one with a BFG, and yes, the buttons have since been removed and the lenses are flat and green) Later
  16. Well, it took me long enough, but since I finally dirtied up and made all necessary mods, I figured I'd join up with this group too. Hello all, most of you know me as Hippie Trooper Bert. Later
