  1. Very close to finishing this now, I have my slings which I will show you when I have the mount installed, but for the mean time getting closer with the barrel details thanks to Anthony for the greeblies.
  2. Final finishing touches to the scope today. Shame it says 1943 and not 42 but hey I can live with that. Bit of action with my kids wax crayons.
  3. Ok so I finished my scope now. Made all the necessary changes to make it an M38 from 1942. I'm quite happy with the results, and I've even used some real scope lenses in it after hollowing the whole thing out.
  4. Thanks Rob, but I won't ever volunteer to make a helmet. I hate it, I'm always scared to death of effing it up. Anyway here's my painted helmet now ready for battle damage. I will have a closer look at the brow and mics as I go through this process. Nick
  5. So I've now got the ears on. Left the trademark gap on purpose lol
  6. Thanks for the kind words guys. Got some accurate looking plastic drain pipe for the ribbed section. Very happy with the result.
  7. Great job mate on the helmet. I saw an awesome tip recently that said to paint the stripes white initially when you have masked them as that fills all the little gaps with white paint, and then your blue that you paint over the top shouldn't leak through the masking at all. I'm going to try that.
  8. Love the attention to the details so far Constantin. Will be watching this build closely.
  9. Yep, a lesson I've learnt the hard way on both my helmets now. Effing ears.
  10. Although I appreciate your desire to right a wrong here it is very difficult for any of us here to comment on something we know very little about. We are only taking your word for it at the moment that this has happened. I certainly won't post negative feedback on something that I haven't been personally wronged on and know very little about.
  11. Ok so I've got the body sprayed in the metallic finish. Painted it with Plastikote Anthracite Metallic which gave a tremendously realistic metal finish. Hope you like, there are still some details to add and finish, especially being the rear sight and the barrel details, but they will come in time. Gas plug handle was 3d printed. Cleaning brush was 25mm tube and on the top part 2x 10p coins glued together and the top one dremelled smooth on top Cooling fins extend into the barrel Stock and handle sides are real wood varnished. Cooling fins painted with brass spray paint Still a few details to finish on the stock as I said
  12. Really amazing attention to details here Scott. Well done you
  13. Is anyone getting a grip of the spammers on the forum? Maybe the security settings for a new account need to be tweaked a bit. Nick
  14. Looking awesome already chief. Well done
  15. Ok guys I've been searching the forum here and on FISD but cannot find an answer. Does anyone know what the 2 parts are that are top and bottom of the barrel shroud just in front of the tubing. I am aware of the gas plug handle just before the front sight ring, but I'm talking about the other parts behind that. The one on the top has a curved end and a diamond shape piece. I really need to know what these are in order to replicate the. On my T-21. Many thanks in advance. Nick
  16. Got the varnished finish complete on the stock. Really happy with the result.
  17. Ok so I made some black leather boots into stormtrooper boots. 1st coat after stripping with nail varnish remover 2nd coat. And finished after 5 coats and some fabric paint on the elastic. Probably one more coat on the elastic.
  18. So I used some green stuff to extend the tips of the sight, which looks much better. Also I got around to finishing the rest of the cooling fins that are inside the barrel shroud.
  19. Ok so I've got some more details done. Here showing my front scope. I'm a little unhappy with the height so might extend the tips with some green stuff. But I'm happy with the details. Nick
  20. It was £20 for the one off. The guy literally just designed the wording, messed around with the engraving machine and....sorted.
  21. I took it to an engraver. I was going to stamp it, but my trials showed that I couldn't be accurate enough or deep enough.
