  1. This is a repost from FISD (by me) learn a lot while restoring my ESB helmet. I used several methods to remove the previous paint. 1) (wet) sanding Takes a lot of elbow grease and takes ages. Also, you might lose some detail 2) "hair waxing" apply some tape firmly to the paint, and then rip it off. Most of the paint will stick to the tape 3) Oven cleaning spray yes. it works. Spray some foamy cleaning spray for the even onto the plastic. Let it work for at least 24 hrs. The paints gets "eaten away". Use a soft (tooth)brush to clean the rest. Repeat if needed. It does not affect the plastic. Just the paint Karin
  2. Thanks for your kind words, Rick! If anyone wants to make his own set, I'd gladly share my knowledge. Templates and instructions are in my tutorial.
  3. Also, keep in mind that you can't make molds of the plastic hand guards that come with your armor a ) it woud be recasting b )latex shrinks a lot, they'd end up too small
  4. quantity depends on your mold. I suggest buy at least 16 oz to experiment and get the "feel" for it. The first casts never work out,

  6. Any mold builder latex will do, but you have to make a master build and a plaster mold etc first.
