  1. Are they PVC or ABS? (right click /save) I too will be watching for your posts.
  2. Yes I used Liquitex Basics also, great stuff. I used multiple washes and used sponging technique. Layered it on, to get this look.
  3. Here is the pack your looking for. Well It's the one I believe is the closet to what was used on screen. You still have to do some cutting on the top rails and bend the middle to get the correct fit. The bottom of the front has the correct curve and once it's done it looks the part. Hope this helps.
  4. Just jumping in here to say I like the new look too. nice options to customize and personalize the look and function. Great job Oh, most of all, I Love the placement of the View New Content .
  5. Oh Yah! Looking good man, I'm really digging the RS Props helmet. Man looks like I'm back to saving for another lid. LOL!!
  6. WOW! Fantastic! Thanks so much it turned out great.
  7. It's a lot of fun building one isn't it.
  8. Yes it was a Priority box. The dimensions are a little off ( I had to cut it down for proportions ) but it works as you can see. About the antenna, I know it's not 100% accurate, but for this version I thought it gave it a little something. I do plan on trying another version and improving on what I've learned and that one will be more accurate. This was just a prof of concept for me and a trial run. When I do get around to making another one I'll take more progress pictures and post them. Thanks again for the complements, looking forward to more improvements in the future. Happy Holidays All!

  15. Nol how about building your own T-21. Panda had a great example of what is possible to build. (Winter Project?)
  16. I understand, I do plan on making my pack more movie accurate. I've had a run of bad luck with my health (tis the season) So as soon as I get back up to snuff, I'll get on moving the filter and just generally cleaning up everything. The main thing was to get 501st approved and then move forward with that. I got that part taken care of, now I can Troop him offically. Hope everyone has a Great Thanksgiving.
  17. Crickets Chirping........... waiting..............waiting....
  18. Just checking in, I do plan on updating my gear to everyone's suggestions. I will try to get to them as soon as I can. I need to finish out this work week and then I hope to have some time. Looking forward to being a part of the Gang! Cheers to everyone on the MEPD! Thanks for helping this Trooper get up to snuff.
  19. Thanks guys. It's not 100% accurate but with a little more work it could be closer. This really was just a test and proof of concept. I'm going to take a little time off and enjoy some Trooping then get back to it this winter I hope. I plan on re-doing the whole back pack. Thanks again and I hope this can give someone else some ideas until we find a real Sonix radio.
  20. Thanks for the response, I'll get some pics of the buttons and straps soon. As for the shoulder pouch goes. I was going for the Sergent Cantina with pack #5. I thought it was changed to no shoulder pouch. If I need to add it I can, I have one just didn't put it on because of the recent change to that version not having one. And as the pack goes do you think I need to make those changes or will I still meet the requirements. If so I will change things just might take a little time to rebuild the whole pack. Thanks again and I'll get those pictures in soon.
  21. This is what I did to make my Sonix Victory 75. I stated with Post Office mailer box that was just about the right size. I had to cut it down just a little. Then I covered it with aluminum tape to give it some strength. I then started cutting the pieces out by using plastic signs. I glued them all to the box and then drilled the details and added little nails. I used the bottom of a aluminum can for the dial detail and cut the lens cover out of a cd case. The dials are from pill bottles and 5 hr. power drinks. I heated up the biggest dial and pushed the smaller one down on it to give it some depth. The main speaker design was created by gluing the template to the plastic then cutting it out like a sun shape and added a 35 mm can cap in the center and separated the plastic to give it the desired shape. (Soaked it in mineral spirts to remove the paper from the plastic.) Primed it and painted it, added some small details, weathering and there you go. Oh and I added a broken antenna and the side jacks just for the fun of it. Sorry I didn't take pictures as I went along, when I get into a project i tend to just role with it. I used these plans. Here Thanks apeers. well i hope this give you all some ides of what might work. I do plan on making another one and more accurate as I can. I also added a mP3 player that has the Trooper chatter on it. Then I attached the whole thing with industrial velcro to the pack.
