hehe - thank you - that's pretty neat
-
Now that was quick
I can see the end of the line now... phew!
For all those who missed out, or are looking for a bargain: I'll have a few "b grade" sets up for grabs soon for cheap. what does b grade mean? Some of the sets turned pink due to bad latex (not enough colour pigments in there... meh!), so I didn't send those out to the guys on the list. If you don't mind painting them up though you can save quite a few quid buying those. I'll post about them in the for sale section

Hey, I know that R2 unit...
-
I'm back on track, had a really bad flu (no swines involved - but it was still kinda messy)
I'm currently waiting for a new latex delivery, as I ran out of it and thanks to my missing internet access for the last 3 weeks I couldn't order new stuff in time. The run will continue, just with a little delay. I'm sorry you guys have to wait that long.
Once I'm done with that run I'll be taking a little break from handguard making I think.
-
Wow, that was fast! Glad you like them
-
Just to let you know guys - I have just closed the list on this run.
I will finish the outstanding orders, then take this stuff back to the FISD. So if you 'missed out' and still want one, keep an eye open on the FISD once I'm done here
To all I've dealt with and will still be dealing with on that: Thanks for your patience guys, I wish I could speed it up a bit, but that stupid latex just won't listen

Lots of shiny alum parts there... nice!
R2 building is loads of fun! No matter if you scratchbuild or "just" buy and assemble parts, you will learn a lot during the build and make good friends along the way as well. Oh and you'll end up having a droid (or two...)
Here's my R2 - It's a mix of scratchbuilt parts (frame, legs, feet, some detail parts) and club "run" parts (skins, dome, other detail parts ) and is fully remote controlled - Cost me roughly 1.500 Euros in materials (that's $2.000... wow!) and I'm planning to upgrade soon. Did I mention an R2 is a neverending project?

Glad you like 'em Bill!
-
Sorry I haven't been keeping you guys up to date here - It's the end of the semester at university and I have tons of exams, so I'm a little busy. However, I kept pouring sets and contacted the next four people on the list And more to come!
-
roughly one to two weeks I'd say
-
a quick update: I have more sets ready, but I'll be on vacation next week, so I won't be online and can't send stuff out. The ones who paid so far have been shipped, and I'll continue shipping more out after next week.
-
glad you guys like your sets
I just got new plastic in, so I can finish that second set of moulds over the weekend, things will speed up a tad from now on!
-
I'm really glad you like them. Hope the others who still have to wait will be equally pleased
-
Great news Dan.
Because i need one more set from you
You should have it next month bro
-
Hey guys - Just so you know, I started building a second set of moulds today, I figured that would be quite a good idea to speed things up a little. That way I'll be able to do two sets a week, still not that fast, but I just can't talk that bleeding latex into curing faster
Got the right handguard mould ready, ran out of plastic for the lefthand one, will do that tomorrow
-
I'd be interested
-
Yup - the three sets that have been paid for just shipped the other day, should be with you guys next week
More sets to come for the ones waiting to pay It's all going slowly but steadily... hehe
-
glad yours didn't travel half the world before they got to you Mark
-
your sets just went out a few days ago anyway Mark - Rolf's has been on it's way quite some time now. Would be the first lost item for me though, guess it has to happen sooner or later... I'm just sorry Rolf has to wait even longer
-
oops, sorry mate - got your payment
-
Little update: More sets have been shipped. Rolf's hasn't arrived yet, which is odd, so I might have to send him a second set, but that's not a biggie.
Also contacted more guys as I have more sets ready to go - nice-biscuit? Are you still interested? Didn't hear back from you!

Just thought I'd do a little update. Some of my mates want me to have that TD done for our Moviepark event in September (right Jens? ) which is going to be a tough one, but I'll try.
I'm pretty much done with the clutch DLT19 now, and have started on a backpack, which is not going to be 100% screen accurate, but it'll do for a start, as I have that deadline there Knowing me, I'll upgrade it later, but that's half the fun anyway, isn't it?
The only thing I'm really missing is the armour But it's my birthday soon, and that should bring me a lot closer to solving this as well
In the meantime, I'm just geeking out with what I have:
-
Hi Jörg,
Sure thing I'll put you down, but you'll have to camp out with the others and wait a few weeks
-
Just a quick message to keep you up-to-date guys.
The first set has been shipped, the next few will be ready next week, so firebladejedi and probably one or two more should get ready to pay next week.
I'm still working on this, don't think I forgot about it, it's just that it takes TIME, one set still needs a week to cure, so you can easily see it'll take me a few more weeks to get all orders ready. But I will get everyone a set who wants one, you just have to take your place in the queue and be patient
Cheers!

Nice suit you got there... wonder who assembled and weathered it, must be some sort of genius
Looking good mate, I'm glad it went to a good home
