  1. Second pulls. On photo they are in bottom queue. From left to right. Two replacement parts for Ab armor. They are a bit sharper than first pull. Second two parts are sniper knee plate and auxiliary part to attach it to calf armor.
  2. First set of test pulls. This third mold need some modifications. Height of this sniper knee plate is 10 mm. Other dimensions are from TK-899 website.
  3. Looks good this modified pauldron. Rolf, good work. I think, next version of our pauldron, we try to make this way.
  4. As I understand these websites have shared user database based on same login email. Then if you have account with email on one from them, you can´t make new account with same email on another, because these websites share this information. I see where is problem. When you have account on one from sites MEPD, CTN, FISD. You don´t need make new login to these new sites with new email. Only try login with used email and password on first website. It should ask you for screen name and firstname to confirm you.
  5. I have here a bit technical question. When I registered here, I noticed, that are you use email as login name. Why not. Then you are using Invision Power Board, probably same as FISD and CTN. Problem is when I tried register on FISD I can´t use my email registered here. Then I needed use my second mail and on CTN I have same problem again. It says during registering process, that my email is used even if there isn´t created account with this email. I don´t think it is good idea have for every forum new email. I can understand that are you trying put together these sites and forums for one login as email. But I don´t think it is working.
  6. Hm interesting mod. Looks much better, than this version with large holes. But try remove this black rim and paint this black rim on this cloth. Because with this rim looks a bit strange. I think primary goal is to have more air in bucket and to be inconspicuous. So no one notice, that you really cut you precious bucket.
  7. Just finished prototypes for this version 1 TK to TD conversion set for FX style armor. Material is foamed PVC. Next step is creating silicone cast to have polyuretane molds.
  8. May be try to think as prop maker and put here some sling to look same?
  9. I´m not sure if Movie FX is recast or copy of FX/GT. Don´t know witch one was first. I didn´t have these armor together to check it. May be old one, that looks similar, but new MFX looks more than original suit. I believe that user Tyranus (MEPD)/ Deckard (FISD) has something to do with FX/GT armors.
  10. Ok thanks. Is there someone with Movie FX armor?
  11. Thanks. This is FX/GT armor? If I count correctly, then from your armor X1 = 6 cm Y1 = 10,2 cm X2 = 2,2 cm Y2 = 9,8 cm from our armor they are X1 = 6,2 cm Y1 = 10,5 cm X2 = 2 cm Y2 = 9,5 cm
  12. May be you have a bit different this part. Even if you have Movie FX or FX/GT armor. I will show you why. I needed this part as spare part, when trooping. Then we decided create own mold. More precise but with dimensions from Movie FX armor. It is hybrid construction. First wood core and then polyester resin cover and finaly wooden parts for details. Because I don´t want make changes to this mold. I´m thinking about conversion set that modify ab plate from this and may be from other FX style armors to TD. This is why I need these dimensions There will be three parts. 1/ main ab plate 2/ second ab plate with buttons 3/ sniper knee plate. I´m just working on production blueprints for creating molds.
  13. Can you guys who have Movie FX and FX/GT armor measure these two parts on photo? I´m working on TK/TD conversion set. Then it help me a lot
  14. For placing on stand there isn´t better choice, but for trooping it is a bit heavy
  15. Check this web of TK-899. There are dimensions here on templates.
  16. Another weathering test on armor spare part. With rusty and gray pigment.
  17. I had fun with weathering test. I used spare part to test something. Because I have FX armor, then I´m not going to make it screen accurate. Even we don´t have desert in my country. Then I wanted test something else. As we know, they used HDPE plastic on Sandtrooper helmets, then we can see this color under white cover paint. Something like weather damage to base material. Then I was thinking, that why should be helmet from diferent material that armor. We know reason from props makers. But why don´t use some imagination. I want try make something like this on whole armor. To presume that whole armor has something like base material, that is close to HDPE color and when troop in it, you will have damage this white layer and then put some dirt on it. Here is photo. I know it is not perfect. This damaged paint doesn´t look much real (I had troubles with masking, I will buy some profesional stuff for this) and these damages shouldn´t be that big. But I think you can imagine how it should like in final. On photo is first level of weathering and there will be probably one or two next with some rusty, dark gray or brown dust.
  18. Now few photos how it looks now. Include foam in jockstrap part, braces, new rubber belt between legs, that has reinforced part for shoe-nail.
  19. I know how much some of you don´t like FX armor. But for me it is first armor to complete. I´m making here modification to make this armor durable, comfortable for trooping. To use minimal velcro fastener as possible. And use rivets as much possible. Next stage will be replacing FX helmet with another more accurate. Btw thanks for ideas that I found on this forum or on websites of forum members. Here are few photos. Abdomen plate still missing correct sandy box, it will be replaced in few weeks when will be molds for this part. Same as sniper knee part. On photos is older version of this part. It was a bit tight, then I needed to replace these black belts on sides.
  20. Hello. I´m new here and quite new in 501st. If everything go well, I will be CO in incoming Czech Outpost. http://www.501st.cz. We are waiting for decision of Council. Now few question. 1/ Can somebody post here some detailed photos of this knee plate with dimensions please? I saw somewhere on this forum basic blueprint, but it is not enought to make as-built drawing. Because we want make wood mold and then make vacumformed parts for our Sandtroopers. We have scratch build vacumformed machines for dimensions 50x50 cm and 75x75 cm. 2/ I saw two different versions of this replacement of chest box. First one with cut out stormtrooper part and replaced with sheet of plastic with small rectangle hole. And second, where was whole part replaced with another box with frame groove and then with same small rectangle hole. Witch one is better or correct? If second there can´t be problem make for this mold too. Again gentlemen, please some photos of this part.
