and paul is right as always with his armor...
it is one of the most accurate armors i´ve ever seen!
i can´t stress this enough: GREAT ARMOR,paul! (you know i´m a true fan of your work! )
look this produktion shot for reference...
-
for getting weathered try using http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/davin/replica_weathering.htm
for me it´s still the best tutorial out there...
also the best looking armor i´ve ever seen...
@ Brak´sBuddy
sorry, i just can´t say this enough!
-
good job on that piece!
maybe use another shade of color! so the weather gets more depth!
-
as i said in anther thread i will repeat here:
the name TE or Trooperexpert will always be remembered as the one and only builder of screenaccurate armors!
your work has been and will always be a great inspiration for all of us stormtrooper enthusiast out here!
thanks for all your advice over the last years!
i wish you all the best in the future, matt!
-
CONGRATULATION! i wish you, your wife and your whole family all the best!
lovely little daughter! well done, bro!
-
so, if both of you have so many of them...
share them with us...
-
i knew there were others looking for screen accuracy...
@ BraksBuddy:
and i knew you´re still out there looking for some more accurate parts to complete your awesome suit!
if the pauldrons are ready let me know and put me already on the buyers list!
-
the tupperware cups may be really the right part.
there was something cut away from the top of the upper bottle.
i´m not sure if the curve of the tupperware cups is right. the photos shows them from a different view.
-
i think it looks very cool and might be accurate...
compare yourself...

tony, you are an animal haunting....
you were the fastest and i´m out of money for the moment... LOL
GREAT work on the lewis, ArsonSmith!
i really enjoy this thread and i´m looking forward for the final result!

matt,
i wish you all the best on your journey.
i really hope you find what you are looking for and finally find yourself and your soul.
WE owe YOU a public thank you!
THANK YOU for all YOU did for us and all the fellow stormtroopers out here that had the honour to know you!
you were an inspiration for all of us and your work on the suits will be historical for all that were and will ever be stormtrooper and armor enthusiast like me!
the name TROOPEREXPERT or the initials TE will always be remembered!
you know that i really mean it, bro!
THANK YOU MATT!
BTW: i always knew you looked like that! i´ve never seen you but it had to be that way!
-
second that absolutly!
that is exactly what i was thinking about as i first saw the picture i posted in this thread! the rotj and the esb suits were like second generation suits with more details like the different ab plate or the ribbed shoulder straps. so the longer protrusions were no longer needed.
the sandtrooper pauldrons hide the shoulder straps perfectly.
i´ve seen some stormtrooper preproduction drawings that showed the upper armor as a whole part like this sketch here:
i know this is not a preproduction sketch but it shows what i mean...
i don´t know where i´ve seen the real preproduction sketch, sorry!
i think this photo shows that the gap between the two parts was quite small and i.m.o. there is also some gaffer tape over the small gap.
-
it must be han solo and luke after stealing another TK-armors! there is no other explanation for something like this!!!
-
the pouch right next to your bucket looks like my STOLLA WIEN pouch!
i think you did it right, pal!
good looking pouches! great find!
-
i have Brak´s cd and there is no specific information about the back packs on it. i think his personal backpack was made by GINO and he is not doing them anymore.
i will try to contact GINO for further information as soon as possible...
i will report then...
-
the ones you got there are swedish mp 38/40 post-war pouches.
(try to sell the small metal part shown in the small pouch on ebay! these are gun loaders and are also recommended by ww2 enthusiast!)
these are really the best nowadays you can get below 400 USD.
the leather 3+1 pouch with the pouch attached to the front are very hard to find and go mostly for more than 400 USD.they were used by the german "fallschirmspringer" or the "luftwaffe".
the only pouch better than these is the original "STOLLA WIEN" pouch.
they are only 3 pocket pouches and also hard to find... i have one of these on my belt!
maybe i will have the chance to get my hands on one of these within the next few weeks.
i will sell it in the "For Sale Or Trade" area then... so stay tuned!
-
i also got mine on ebay...
is there anyone making the real deal with leather?
i know there is a guy who made this in sort of bat-shape... but i want a pauldron that is as screenaccurate as possible...
since the original chestprotectors are not made anymore i don´t know something similar...
-
hmmm,
i send the payment already...???
-
good to hear you´re not giving up totaly!
i´m still lucky to get one "original" TE suit from you and not from the ones that will continue your work with the moulds YOU became the best with...
maybe the moulds will be the same but the feeling to own a TE suit will not be the same! i´m really looking forward to get my suit next month! YEAAAHHH!
-

Posted
hi, i don´t believe there was another radar dish used.
look:
@ TD-1536
i also think that at least some of the tupperware radar dishes were NOT painted white. maybe there were also some hero or stunt backpacks.
