Okay, So I have decided (for other reasons as well---long story about a jerk on ebay mucking with the price) NOT to get the FX helmet. Do you think it would be okay for me to make a new thread already that could be concerning my quest for armor and getting advice on it? I dont want to get in trouble for starting another thread so soon after this one. But this one is no longer needed. Also... Thank you guys for all your help and advice! What a great bunch!

The one that looks flat on the top? (no offense to whomever that belongs to) Hmm... yikes. Well, (and Im not arguing) but the one in my pictures looks more ... um.. for lack of better word... domed on the top than that one. But maybe its just the angle or are there more than one version of the FX helmets? Oh and I REALLY appreciate your answering my questions man. Thank you.

Which one of those three is the FX one? Red, grey or orange trooper?

Definitely FX? So it will look too big or something? What's it worth?

EDIT: It is a GT FX helmet. Okay, so the guy wants $190 plus shipping for the helmet. It has the fan and voice amp built in. (see details below pics) (But it also doesnt look like it has the "flat head" of the fx helmet even though apparently it is. So this means it is too big if I am correct about FX helmets.) Can I get something better for that price? (with amp and fans?) Hi guys! I am new here. But I am a 501st hopeful! And I am in need of your input... I was wondering if someone could identify this bucket? ...and maybe give me an idea of what it's worth? Here is the description according to the seller: "Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet prop...used condition. Comes with voice amp and fan system already installed. Painted and weathered up to appear as an Episode IV Sandtrooper... Please note the speaker for the voice amp is mounted in the chin and is insulated to prevent feedback on lower volume.....works good and is all self contained." The seller said he would clean the weathering paint off of the helmet and shine it up for me if I wished. (Which I would have him do because, even though I want to end up with a Sandtrooper, I plan to start out as a Stormtrooper until I can afford to upgrade) Anyway, I knew you guys would be the people to help me out.. Hello everyone! My name is Jason, I am from Wellsville, NY. (Where?!) My beautiful family and I share a love for STAR WARS. Im married and have 3 little ones. 5, 3, & 1. Okay, lets see... I went (several times) to see Revenge of the Sith when it came out, and afterward thought..."OH MAN...how cool would it have been to have had a cool trooper costume for opening night!!! But alas, my chance has past." Then recently came news... Star Wars, back in theaters this AUGUST!!! WHOO HOO! Another chance... perhaps my last! I started looking around on evilbay for a Clone Trooper costume and then I saw it... a Sandtrooper costume! I recalled how flipping cool they look on the big screen and decided that's the costume for me. Then I looked into this "501st I kept hearing about". WOW! I definitely want in to that! What a great community! Then I looked into the pricing...The prices being what they are though have created an obsticle that I am not sure I can overcome financially right now, sadly. The problem is... I got an Imperial sized "itch" now to own a Sandtrooper costume (or at LEAST a Stormtrooper) and be in the 501st ! My dream of going a week early to the local theater in full costume to help promote the new movie and (have lots of fun doing so) will probably not come true... but SOMEDAY.. someday... hopefully I'll be able to afford one of these fine costumes and become a member of the 501st as a Sandtrooper! (I mean, after all, what other trooper is cooler than a Sandtrooper?) The 501st is a GREAT organization from what I have read about it, and it will be a privilage and an honor to someday be a part of it! In the meantime, Im happy to be a part of this forum comunity! Noob here... Can someone fill me in as to what "HDPE" and "T*E" is? And, what the differences are between this and other helmets? Thanks guys!
