  1. WoodChuck here. I just got an e-mail I just HAVE to share, but it's not easy trying to type and copy and paste while having spasms from belly-busting laughter, and tears rolling down my face: Subject: Star Wars Helmets Obscene? (quote).................And I also think that it is terrible how obscene those helmets are in some of the Star Wars movies. When i look at the side view of the storm trooper, or clone helmet, all I see is the lower portion of the helmet seems to take the shape of a semi-(BLEEP) portion of the adult male anatomy..................(unquote) I Guess that gives new meaning to the slang term....."D_ _ K Head"
  2. WoodChuck here. See anything you like? Here's A Very Obvious Clue............................ PM me for pricing details. Thanks, Chuck http://woodchuck.imperial-web.com
  3. WoodChuck here. Ahhh............another satisfied customer. seriously, thank you for the compliments. It's troopers like you that make prop building a fun challenge.
  4. Go Lions!..........Trip........stumble................fall.................never mind, SIGH
  5. WoodChuck here. After attending CV, I needed a break. A customer asked me to create this Intarsia for her husband, who collects John Deere miniatures. The tractor has almost 300 pieces, most of them in the big rear tire. The entire scene is wood, cut up into tiny pieces, then shaped, sanded and glued to a back board. BTW, I had to go to a JD dealer to get the green and yellow paint. $9 a can!!! $2.97 at wal mart, but just not the right shade. More photos can be seen here. http://s343.photobucket.com/albums/o471/mesmer777/
  6. On a planet with two moons, in a far and distant galaxy, WoodChuck toils away in the Hole-In-The-Walla workshop. There is ample space out front for landing space craft, and the workshop is locatd within a cave in the shadow of one of the planets moons. "Whir-r-r-r-r, Beep Beep, Click!" is the only sound heard as both battle droids focused on the movement just outside the entrance to the workshop. " PSTTTTTT, Zing," and a white sreak hit the target and a limp body mass transforms, then dies on the doorstep. "Yes, it's a changling, alrght. Looks like it tried to be me," Woodchuck mentioned, while commanding one of the battle droids to dispose of the carcass. "I knew they were attempting to get the templates to my new rifle, but this is extreme." "Safe to enter?" came the sound of a familiar voice. In an instant, four Republic Commandos were seen trying to enter, their mass completly blocking the small opening. "Yes, please come in, have some java juice, it's on the house." Woodchuck allowed the remaining battle droid to monitor and stand by for further orders. "Roger roger", came the reply. "Stupid battle droids," muttered one fo the RC's. "We need to order new DC-17's. The entire garrison is going to be calling on you, and we just wanted you to have a head's up. some want the sniper attachment, some the Anit-armor. We all want the upgrades you include with each new version." Woodchuck began taking notes on his telepad, as the Squad boss continued. That RC pistol you make is a keeper, for sure. some of the guys are going to want to see that one." "I saw Warbat use that new DC-15 HE ARF sniper rifle from Blastech to take out three driodreka's, really packs a punch," Sev added to the conversation. "That's why the changling was here, tried to steal the master templates," Woodchuck said. "Anyone messing with The Woodchuck has to answer to us, for sure. Fixer yelled. "Thanks troopers, but I can take care of myself," Woodchuck chuckled. "Now where were we............... Woodchuck here. It's time to order supplies for the next DC-17 and RC pistols run. This is an interest only list. As of this date, 8/23, I have 7 troopers on a reserve list from the last run. I have sent PM's to all of you. if anyone else is interested, PM me to get on the list. I will start the build in 10 -14 days. Again, this is Interest only, but do not PM me unless you are able to send full payment when the items are ready to ship. These are hand-made, one at a time from wood and PVC. Photos here: http://woodchuck.imperial-web.com thanks, Chuck
  7. WoodChuck here. I want to thank everyone who complimented me on my props and craftsmanship. It was a very humbling experience for me. Customer satisfaction is very important to me. Thank You. here are some photos to enjoy: Here is a link to the entire set of postcards from CV: CV photos
  8. The Hole-In-Wall workshop is located in the shadow of one of the two moons on a far and distant planet. "Advanced Recon?" Woodchuck asked, as the tall clone trooper entered. "Yes sir!" came the reply, barked more then spoken. "My CO sent me here to pick up the new sniper rifle you are holding for me. We been out in the boonies for over a month, just got back today." Two battle droids stationed at the entrance to the workshop finished scanning the clone, verifying his personal data. "Here you go," Woodchuck answered, lifting the DC-15 HE Clone sniper rifle onto the top of the display case. "As you can see, this is the longest of all sniper rifles, measuring 60 inches. It only weighs five pounds when fully assembled." Then, woodchuck began taking the rifle apart while explaining, "No tools are required. The front barrel slides into the Power chamber, as does the receiver. The butt stock connects to the rear portion of the receiver, secured by this folding bracket. Blastech Industries had me build this unit based on an original design created by DAVECT. Clone trooper Warbat picked up his version this morning, so you are only the second clone to have the DC-15HE." "What are the specs?" the clone asked while lifting the rifle, which caused both battle droids to respond. "Stand Down!" Woodchuck ordered, "He's a friendly, disengage." Both droids replied, "Roger roger" and went into standby mode. "H E stays for High Energy. These magnetic fin rails along the top of the Power Chamber increase the fire power by a factor of 500. That translates to instant destruction of any hard object, such as a tank, droid, droidreka, or small building. But it comes at a cost. Your ammo only lasts 1/3 as long." Woodchuck then motioned toward a small box that looked likenight vision googles. "I have to scan your optic nerves and program the data into the DC-15HE. The blue scope sites are unique to your vision once the data is entered. No one but you will be able to fire the weapon." "The ammo clips look like the ones I use on my long rifle," the clone noticed. Woodchuck took one of the small clips and said, "Blastech used the same case, but the contents are radically different. One of these clips lasts 20 times as long as the ones for your long rifle. The mag-rails need the higher energy concentration," Woodchuck explained. "I wouldn't get them mixed up, if I were you. Putting one of these babies into your long rifle and pulling the trigger would not be a good thing to do," Woodchuck said, winking. "Ok, you are good-to-go, trooper. Be safe, be strong, and make every shot count." "Yes sir!" barked the clone upon departure. This is my secret project for CV. I will have the prototype with me and hope to display it at one of the 501st tables. Special thanks to Warbat for getting me to do this build, and also to Dave CT for providing the reference photos and design. Spud Trooper has quite an eye for detail and helped complete this build. He has become a very valuable asset to the workshop. The blue scopes light up (LED's) when the red button is pushed. The rifle actually does break down into four sections, and no tools are required. Hand-made from wood and PVC. PM me for pricing details. WoodChuck
  9. Woodchuck here. The front nine inches of my version of the T-21 is turned on a lathe from solid pine. If you have a wood lathe, or know someone who does, give that a try. , I do NOT do lathe stuff LOL, but have a Bro-in-law who makes my barrels, but he doesn't want any more business, as lots of troopers have asked. Here is a photo link to my t-21: http://woodchuck.imperial-web.com Hope that helps.
  10. Woodchuck here. I know it's summer time and that the economy is still bad, and the cost of CV is high. I understand money's tight. I just finished a run of Dc-15 long rifles that took a month to build, and now troopers are cancelling their orders. I think a non-refundable deposit should be allowed to be sent at time of order placement to at least cover some of the cost of building supplies. I am sure other vendors are having the same problem. I am up to the BFG T-21 project on the list. This is a RARE opportunity to own one of my version of this blaster. I will make only four of them if there is enough interest and CONNFIRMED payment. LOL Thanks WoodChuck
  11. [quote looks like a dome to a TK helmet, lol. That is correct...wait until you see the flair portion LMAO!!!
  12. Anybody want to guess what the mold is supposed to be ??????
  13. Woodchuck here. I finally finished my vac table and two-stage vac pump system. The RED handle dumps the 11 gallon storage tank. The BLACK handle is a 2-way valve that controls the output of the vac pump. The quick-disconnect couplers allow me to remove the pump for service. I put everything on a two-wheeled cart so it is portable. I used 1 inch PVC for the lines going to the forming table, and 1/2 inch PVC for the lines going to the storage tank. My forming table is BIG (24" X 36") but this two stage system pulled a piece of .125 HIPS tight to a mold that was higher then 12 inches in one second flat, once I dumped the tank. Anyone interested in using this set-up, PM me.
  14. WoodChuck here. I saw the kitten pattern in one of my woodworking mags, and thought it needed a STAR WARS touch. So I added a hooded robe made from solid walnut, and Yoda's light saber. I like the way the walnut contrasts with the grey and white fur. I just had to include the hole in the robe so the big bushy tail would show. I call this: Kitty Wan Kenobi
  15. Woodchuck here. There seems to be a lot of interest in RC's at the moment. I have had several troopers inquire about my version of the DC-17. As many of you already know, my version is larger then the game version. Customers seem to think the bigger blaster looks right with the bulky look of the RC armor. As always, this next run willl include the wiring in the trigger, complete access to the hollow interior, and each blaster will be painted flat black, unless shipped internationally. This thread is just to see how many troopers are ready to confirm an order by getting on this build list. If your name is on the list and you are no longer interested, please send me a PM. all pricing and availibility must be discussed via PM ONLY! I will begin the build on April 20th: 1.envious serious rue 2. Mando Merc 1138 3.Josh Hiebert 4.LoNeR (France) 5. Jedifran 6. Kantis Nolef 7. Kwl Dar Korrum 8. bluestang95GT302 9. Sgt Steve 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15.
  16. Woodchuck here. I was just notified that my entry in the 2009 Design contest at Scroll Saw woodworking and Crafts Magazine won PEOPLE'S CHOICE - BEST IN CONTEST, and PEOPLE'S CHOICE - BEST IN GENERAL WOODWORKING CATEGORY. this is a big deal within the woodworking community, and means a lot to me. I spent two years scratch-building this model: http://www.scrollsawer.com/features/3240.html http://www.scrollsawer.com/features/3235.html
  17. WoodChuck here. I built this table top model from Doug Walsh's plans for a customer in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The forming table is 12" X 18". The oven is 110 volt @12 - 14amp. I will share building tips if anyone is interested. This is what happened when I left the vac table unguarded one night. It looks like it took a whole bottle of steriods!!!?? Now the forming table measures 24" X 36" and the oven requires 220 V and pulls 33 amps !!!
  18. A tall, lanky bounty hunter entered the Hole-In-The-Wall, a workshop owned by the Woodchuck, located on a far and distant planet with two moons. "Got any java juice," he asked, as he saw the shop owner come from the back room. "Help Yourself, it's complimentary'" Woodchuck answered. Unknown to the bounty hunter, Woodchuck already knew his identity, thanks to the hidden mind-body scan system concealed within the doorway. "I'm looking for a matched set of blasters. A mutual aquaintance tells me you are the only source for them." " Would that be Pre Vizsla?" Woodchuck asked. This took the bounty hunter by surprise. He thought about reaching for the sniper rifle slung over his shoulder, but froze when he saw a battle droid lock onto his position. "Relax, friend, I mean you no harm." Woodchuck jestured, and put the assasin at ease. "I have the blasters you seek, they are displayed on the wall behind the battle droid on the left." As woodchuck spoke the huge war machine side-stepped to reveal the following: Perfect, just perfect. well balanced, very powerful. I have a date with a certain princess and these will come in handy.............. To be continued
  19. WoodChuck here. A lot of troopers have been asking me about getting a website. Here it is, LMK what you think: http://woodchuck.imperial-web.com/
  20. Woodchuck here. Hey, I used that same model to make these. I still have one set left if anyone wants it. PM me. Great paint job on yours, and they do look very realistic.
  21. Woodchuck here, hitting the egg nog quite heavy (HIC) Anyway, first thing that comes to mind is to get a lid from a mayonaise jar, paint it bright orange or red, and call it done. LOL
  22. Woodchuck here. This toy has been around for a long time, but I thought it was time to put a Star Wars twist on it. I cut the Imperial cog into the wooden base, added a short length of wood dowel, and here it is:
  23. Woodchuck here. Celebartion V is requiring all weapons to have a brightly colored cap on the end of the barrel. http://www.starwarscelebration.com/en/Over...Weapons-Policy/ Here's a fast and easy solution. Raid the medicine cabinet, go buy a bottle of aspirin, flush the pills and use the Red cap. I swear it looks like it is supposed to be there LOL: Should work for any weapon, blaster, rifle, etc. LMK what you think. WoodChuck
  24. It's official !!! Celebration V will be held in Orlando, Florida, http://starwars.com/fans/events/c5announcement/index.html http://www.starwarscelebration.com/ That's like only a 2 hour drive for me, see you there!! WoodChuck
