Just to let everyone know I will leave it a few more days and then get the ball rolling on this. Seven is ideal but I think we can do it with five without too much of an increase ( $2 each )

I'm enjoying this scootch. Can't wait for the next installment

Have to say I have never liked the TK pauldron thing.
You can't have your cake and eat it. I say dirty has to be a must that's the fun of being a TD.

Looking good.

Nice tutorial Scootch. I was looking at my box of bits for the backpack and thinking how on earth will I attempt this now I have an idea.

Got you down Dartheros and Dutchy. Anyone else I have missed?

Got you down Maurice

Looking forward to seeing these suits in the flesh. I have heard good things about them. That and our man Rolf on the case should make these something special. YOu're going to do a thread on this Rolf?
-
They won't ship to the states.
Is there someone in the U.K. who would be willing to pick one up for me too?
You're on No1 on the new topic here

As some you you may be aware Madphisto discovered a round siphon on a UK website that does not ship outside the UK.
To help everyone out I 'm going to start a sign up. To keep costs down I need at least seven. PM with your requests or post here.
Cost is £22 shipped to USA, £18 to Europe, it may be slightly less. Not open to UK troopers as you can get your own!

All this stems from the fact that Matt didn't want to share freely, but make money out of something that was not his to make money from. In the end, it's just about the money for a few.My bit of plastic is worth more than your bit of plastic.
Thank goodness for the knowledgeable ones who want to share without wanting some form of payment.

Just to clarify Art the UK is unique in the fact we use both Imperial and Metric. Imperial measurments in the 70's would have been very common as even today all timber comes as imperial sizes 2x4" etc. The makers of the suits then would probably have used imperial rather than metric.

You could try this site for some ideas. 3M do a nice range and with their gun system you can be accurate

Welcome Jay.Does the new position come with added benefit of extra Jawa hunting rations?

OK I'll be up for a run if there is demand for seven or more ( that get's free shipping to me which will cut costs ). Unfortunately I weighed these and to send Airsure to the US will be about £12 each. I have tried cheaper forms of shipping but they take forever. Let me get an exact costing but total will be between £20 -£25 each if everyone is happy with that. I will start a new thread tomorrow right now am off to bed.

Like the comparison and absolutely spot on. Felthy bad!

I going to bookmark this one. Should be good.

Is this an original pic as I can see the ribbed shoulder straps which weren't part of the sandtrooper uniform, or did they stick TK ab detail over the TD ab detail? Here you go Rolf http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=1764

PM me and I will sort one out for you.

I think he should be applauded, as he makes everyone else look well adjusted.

Nice to know the details. There is certainly alot of reference for the gaffer tape
Nice to know they have that in outer space. I wish there was one definitive picture pointing to the Rivets on a TD rather than a TK. I am sure they were constructed in the same way but there are differences in the two.
Great pictures.
