  1. Oh! Now I see what you're talking about. I thought you were referring to the Tupperware lid (radar dish) being white since I've seen some white and some left in the natural color. I just decided to do the white dial on the radio because it seems really boring without it. You seriously have to wonder who was in charge of quality control during the filming of ANH.
  2. Freakengine- Both of these troopers have the white dial and a stinger. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by the white dial.
  3. I've thought about making the stinger thicker. I definitely want it, even though it may not make it 100% movie accurate. I just like the stinger part. I actually plan to drill out holes on the speaker. Just haven't gotten to that point yet. I'm not big on the desert cups. I feel the size really makes it look odd. More so than the bowls I used. I may replace them at some point, but for not I'm fine with them. Thanks for the comments!
  4. THe upper right box is a Tupperware Stow-N-Go as was used in the movie and the filter can be seen in this link.
  5. The Walmart litter boxes. They're a little deeper than I prefer, but I wasn't finding anything better. The seed trays in my area were so flimsy that there was no way anything could be attached to them. The litter boxes have a rasied edge all the way around the outside of the bottom of the tray and then a big "X" going right through the center of the bottom of the tray. I dremmeled it off, sanded it, patched it, then sanded it some more and then added the raised areas made out of MDF. You can see the raised edge I'm referring to here. I didn't bother to remove it from the backside of the boxes.
  6. I just assembled my first pack and wanted some critique (good or bad. please be honest). The entire thing is made from either household type products or custom built. I did not use any vacformed parts made by someone else. The cystern is completely built from scratch I used parts of a whiffle ball bat, the usual Tupperware stackers, some drip tubing, part of a flashlight, part of a bowl and part of a half-yard beer glass. The radio is also my own creation. The pack is still not finished. It needs straps. I'm hoping to add electronics and it needs more weathering/dirt. Oh and the electrical tape. When I started this I decided to build one for a buddy at the same time. It's just slightly behind this one. I still have to finish adding the five raised strips on the main blue box. I'm hoping to have both finished very soon. Please give me your comments on this.
  7. Treganter- I'd love to see someone do a SE version of the pack. It's not one of my favorites, but it's in the movies, so it should be accepted. But then I'm not part of the MEPD either.
  8. Check your local Walmarts. I found some very similar irrigation hose in the garden area. The only real difference was that instead of being about 1/4" thick, it was about 3/8". Not a huge difference, but a noticeable one. I personally prefer the 1/4" size better, but it may be worth looking into.
  9. Rob- Sorry, but that was the last of that type of drip hose at Lowe's. If I spot it again I'll be sure to post up.
  10. Glad you received it. I'm hoping the others voice up when they get theirs too. Be sure to post up the completed pics.
  11. That's pretty much what I figured. I'm not interested in getting one. I'm making my own and having a lot of fun doing it. In fact I just received the final piece I should need today in the mail.
  12. It's hard to tell from the limited pictures, but it doesn't look to be movie accurate at all. It looks like it may be a hybrid of a regular OT ANH pack and a SE pack, but I can't be sure. It could be completely made up. http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRA-RARE-STAR-WARS-S...DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem://http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRA-RARE-STAR...QQcmdZ ViewItem Anyone ever heard of these? I'd like to see better pictures. Not because I want it, but just because I like seeing what other people have done.
  13. Not at all. You paid more than enough. Thanks! I'm not looking to profit. Just want to help everyone out when I can. This is how we work with a group of local collectors in AZ and it's this attitude that made us the largest forum on RebelScum. We're constantly hooking each other up.
  14. Your packages have been mailed. TK8269 & illinois- You should receive yours in approximately 2-3 days. TK2230- I overestimated the weight of the package prior to buying the hose and yours only came to $2.62 USD. I could reimburse you the difference if you'd like, but there will probably be a fee. Sorry, I hadn't bought the hose yet, so I had no idea how much it actually weighed. Let me know what you want to do. After all the Paypal fees are taken out we're probably only talking about $1. I just don't want you to think I was trying to profit off this.
  15. TK2230, TK8269 & illinois- I was a little freaked out when I arrived at Lowe's yesterday afternoon. I walk back to the sprinkler section and where there was a whole mess of the textured irrigation tube just days before there was now a big empty space. Luckily hidden in the shadows was ONE roll left. Whew! I divided the 50' evenly between the three of you, so you should have more than enough. For some reason I was charged a Paypal fee from TK2230 and Illinois' transactions, but Illinois was kind enough to send a little extra anyway, so it was all covered. Even so I wasn't going to sweat it over 53 cents. The hose is all packaged up and as soon as the post office opens I'm going to run it over there. I hope it works well for all of you. TK8269- I hope I'm not out of line for asking, but from your name I was wondering if you're female. If so, that is way cool!!!
  16. tk8269- I'll get yours out too.
  17. Wow! You didn't waste any time. I'll pick it up tonight and should be able to get it out tomorrow. Being across the street from the post office makes it pretty easy. Speaking of which... the post office gave me a customs declaration form. Does it affect you in any way on how I fill it out? Should I mark it as "Gift" or "Other". I know nothing about how this works.
  18. I checked last night to see what I had available and it's not enough for all three of you, so I'll stop tonight and pick up some more. Since the postage is close I'm just going to make the price the same for all of you. I hope this doesn't seem unfair. We're only talking a matter of cents. So if you're still interested Paypal $7.10 to ares-x@cox.net. Once I receive it I'll send it out (unless it's over the weekend and then it'll go out Monday). Don't forget to give me your mailing address. I ended up using 21 pieces of tube and they're just over 7" each. I plan to send extra in case you decide to go longer. I'll more than likely send it in one large piece and let you guys do the cutting yourselves. I hope this works for you guys.
  19. TK2230, TK8269 & illinois- I just checked with the post office, which I'm lucky enough is right across the street and found that shipping to Canada is not that much harder than shipping in the US. I just have a seperate form I need to attach. The cost to Canada is $4.76 USD. Ironically It's only 11 cents less to ship to zip codes 34232 and 45044. I do have a small amount of hose left. Let me see how much is there and I could probably just send it if you guys will Paypal me the shipping costs. If not the hose only costs about $7 USD after tax, so split three ways it's still very cheap. Let me know if this works for all of you.
  20. TK2230 & TK8269- Give me your zip codes (or whatever it is Canada uses) and I'll see how much postage is.
  21. Is there anything special when shipping to Canada?
  22. I guess it depends on how many people are interested.
  23. Sprinkler section. In this case it happened to be on an endcap, but that may be specific to this store. If you want to Paypal me the cost of the hose and shipping I'll be more than happy to send it to you. I go by that Lowe's all the time. Unfortunately becuase of it's size it'll probably cost as much to ship as it does for the hose. I'm in AZ, 85249.
  24. Also an irrigation or soaker hose.
  25. I stopped by Lowe's yesterday and found the drip house. I hadn't realized it, but it's made from recycled tires. I snapped a few shots, but unfortunately the item# doesn't come up on the Lowe's website. I did a Google search and found hose that was made from recycled tires, but it was all 5/8" and not 1/4", so it's way too big. Sorry about the lousy images. It's from my phone.
