  1. when i clear coated brads and neils, with wilkos own brand enamel laquer , i sprayed it from a fair distance (about 12" ) - a fine mist of laquer giving a "gritty" finish to the parts, and i clear coated the stock at a closer range to give a shine to it...its trial and error buddy , i really hope you sort it in time simon
  2. its #160 german camouflage red brown, and many layers of satin black rub Simon :0)

  6. i use Wilkos own brand gloss enamel laquer ,though i apply from a distance of about 10 - 12" on the barrel/reciever to get a matt/satin finish ,but apply to the stock at a distance of approx 6" to get more of a "wet coat" shine to it ! its basically trial and error to see what works for you personally buddy
  7. for my next (and second ) attempt,- as i said to Brad when i did his - ,i will consider routing out the ejector port ,then add the greeblei (made ,and fitted better next time ) to give the depth of the real port on the MG 34........ its all a learning curve for us all here ,to get the look better !....simons port greeblie is awesome ,and all stemmed from Ruggeros templates ! ..... i may even get Brads DLT back to my place and "re-work it " better if he's ok with it ...and, as Simon did....i didnt bend the patrts, just glued all the angles together and then shaped ,on my first attempt ! ....Good Stuff here !
