Got mine, but I wasn't overly impressed with the quality. Some loose threads and different color thread used between patches. And one patch had a stain on it.

Thanks again Seth and thanks all.
I'm all for doing some trading cards. I'm not a photoshop guy, never used it, yet.
But if someone wants to come up with a design and spearhead this I'll help out in every capacity that I can.

When you do mail the patches that you have received out can you possibly update the first post?
Thanks!

Anything mailed out yet?

Did these ship?

We missed ya. It was a great time.

Not sure of the exact number, but at least 4.

I've already pre-ordered the book. Sounds like it is going to be a great resource.

I'll be at All-Con Friday and Saturday. Look forward to seeing you guys.

Looking good and sandy. Welcome to the ranks.

Bump my order up to 10

So if it's cheaper I might order more. How much we talking about? We're short by 20, but I think we can have it done a little cheaper. That way you can get an extra patch or two or a beer instead.
-
How many are we short the 100?

I'm down for 5.

I've seen metal cogs on eBay before like as key chains. Not sure if that is big enough for you though. You might check it out.

Most of the wrinkles are on the riser. I'm not very knowledgable about these things so I hope my questions don't get annoying. When using a Dremel to trim, how do you keep the plastic from getting hot enough to melt. What attachment do you use?Is the wrinkle on a usable part of the pull, or just on the riser? I think Mike culled out any goofed parts proir to shipping, so that might be a spot that gets cut away. If not, sand it down with 150, then wet sand with 300 or more, then paint it or wet sand to a matte finish.
For cutting, I use a dremel and razor knife, and sometimes an xacto as well.

Got my box of plastic yesterday.
This is going to be my first real build of a prop, except my armor of course, and I've got a few questions.
What is the best way to trim these pieces?
What type of glue works best?
Some of the pieces are cracked and have wrinkles. Is there a way to sand down the wrinkled plastic?

Stickers ROCK!Question for all of those who have made a submission so far; how do you feel about stickers? What I was thinking, since there are so many cool logos, to make the winner of the poll into a patch, but then look into making several runner-up designs into a vinyl sticker. Just a thought.

Awesome!!! Thansk Mike for posting this. Great work!

Welcome Brian,
The troopers here truely are experts in all things Sandtrooper. I'd also suggest heading over to www.stargarrison.com. Star Garrison would be the "local" 501st garrison that you'd fall into. We have a few sandies over there including myself. I also live in the Houston area, Baytown to be exact, so if you ever need any help with assembly when you get your armor don't hesitate to ask.

Welcome.
We're here to please in all your dirty endevours.

Glad you're back Kevin.

Seth did a great job with this.
Nothing against him and there is nothing he can do about the delays or the patches themselves.
