    How much snow did you get?

    Well.. actually, it did. All the cold and winter snow has already reached the northern half of Mexico.

    We have temperatures as low as -20C (-4F) this morning in some border cities as Nuevo Laredo, Ciudad Juarez and Reynosa.

    The more south you get, the higher the temp is... but, still cold.

    Just 30 KM north of Mexico City it was -5C (23F) this morning.

    Mexico city is still just 6C (42F) though.

    It looks like we are up for a cold long weekend. We have monday off!!!

    6C or 42 F sounds balmy here we are going down tho on tuesday to 8 above zero...I don't know what that would be in Celcius.

    Why do you have Monday off?

    Add me to that list! My 7yo daughter LOVES Star Wars. Big Ahsoka and Ventress fan. Asked for the Imperial Walker for Christmas. Wears Lego Star Wars and Asaaj Ventress shirts to school, and puts the boys in their place because she knows more Star Wars than they do (plus, she's got that "My Dad is a Stormtrooper" thing going)

    That commercial is AWESOME!!

    And you can't tell me I am the only one who uses the force every time I walk up to Wal Mart doors!

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with that and who says girls can't be a Vader? No one will know unless they ask you to say something.... B)

    That was a cute commercial and I hope to see it in my area.

    Over here we have 70°F (sorry, wrong conversion), it is 42 F and we are cold!!!

    I know it is snowing in Dallas Texas right now.....We were wondering if it got cold in Mexico due to the Artic air going all the way south to Texas....hopefully you will warm back up soon...

    Woodchuck here. 72 and sunny today, had to mow the lawn. Ocala Florida

    Actually I wouldn't mind mowing the lawn right now!!!!

    Took me and my two kids 3 days to make a small path to get my car and sidewalks undug...... :angry:

    Hopefully we can get the car out or even started to get my youngest tot he high school this mornig...car's been frozen shut for 3 days :blink:

    Here in North Central Illinois we got 20 inches from 3 pm last night to 5 am this morning...PLows have been out but I can't move my car as it is in 20 inches of frozen snow around it....Now we are going to be hit by wind chills of -20 to - 40 below zero.

    Were you in the path of the storm?

    I am glad the title was changed on this as I have in real life lost 4 babies in my life...Only 2 of my 6 kids are living and 4 died in utero and I never got to hold them.... :(

    After I read the rest of this post my heart calmed down.....and it was like whew!!

    Any Costume Goals for 2011?

    My goal is to finish the Female Tusken Raider I got earlier last month...

    finish the Obi Wan costume I have started and finish the Anakin Skywalker I started. I have the boots, one belt finished....got the light sabers....and the tunics nearly done....I do need a darker cloak for the Anakin tho...

    I don't know if my Sandy will qualify for the 501st as I can't get the right things for my boots...and my feet have been curling up more this year and it may be impossible for me to wear the boots I do have for that costume..... :( :( :( Tried some other boots and they caused pain in my feet and were a no go...very disapointed after all that work :( :( :( I will keep looking tho!

    I, my brother and two of our friends were so excited to see this movie when it came out in the theater...we got ready in our seats,got the soda and the pop corn and candy, and hunkered down in the back as the people that had just seen the movie were leaving in small groups, as others were coming in and sitting down...it was 75% full in a few minutes........ We were talking quietly amongst ourselves and then this brat of a kid stood up and yelled at her brother as they were arguing about the best scene in the movie they just watched.... "I DON'T CARE!! DARTH VADER IS LUKE SKYWALKERS FATHER AND GET OVER IT!"

    There was 30 seconds of silence as every person in the theater turned around and looked at this kid.... and they began yelling or groaning.....Two people didn't let them or the parents who were waiting outside the doors for thier kids leave(They had no idea what thier kids had just done) and the management was called...We couldn't believe it...we just got ready for the picture we had been waiting for since the closing credits of the first STar WArs movie and this brat of a kid blew it in 30 seconds!!!! Some people threw thier tickets away and left..some wanted a refund as the movie was blown for them...the manager came in and took the kids out.....

    As for us...we glared at the kid as they took them out...and then we decided to stay and see the movie and forget what she had just blurted out in front of a whole theater....it was worth waiting for and we had no idea when the line of "Luke...I am your father" was going to come.

    Star Wars Related Christmas Presents

    I know I am getting some thing Star Wars related Christmas gift as my oldest called me and asked me which I liked best Storm Troopers or Vader stuff...I could hear back ground noise and asked her where she was and she was in a Kmart not far from here....She was in an aisle at the store and was looking at some "stuff" as she put it and was curious as to which one I liked the best...

    the decorated package is now sitting under my tree right now...and i am wanting to unwrap it NOW to see this!

    Thank you guys!

    I've waited a couple weeks but an instruction manual hasn't shown up in the mail yet. When can I expect that? :)

    Ummm babies usually don't come with an instruction book.... :blink:

    But there are plenty of books for new parents out there! Go to the library and you could probably find what you need...cheaper that buying the book!

    Usually there are 3 things to kn ow about babies..

    1. Keep them properly dressed for the temperature.

    2. Keep them dry, which means frequent diaper changes please! We don't want diaper rash! :(

    3. Keep them properly fed..Babies will let you know when they are hungry or when they are full. It's a good idea to get a lot of burp bibs, and also keep plenty of clean bottles and nipples on hand for bottle feeding if you go that route.....if the Baby eats at Mom's (Breast feed)...no problem!

    congradulations on the coming baby and you will do fine!

    I was petrified at being pregnant...but once the baby bump began to show then it was ok!

    HElp her as much as you can and be there for her when she needs you for support...And she will be there for you.

    Awwwwww!!!

    congrats on the baby being a girl!!!

    Ahhhh ultrasounds...they've come along way since I had one....drink about 4 huge glasses of water an hour before the test and ya gotta hold it till they are done with the scanner... :blink:
