  1. I keep on hoping!!! that´s all there is!! jajajajaja cheers!
  2. Thanks for the kind words man! I agree with the white commando! your TD armor is just beautiful! where did you got it and for how much? regarding the weathering process... i noticed also that every sandtrooper in ANH has a different pattern. so basically that´s a license to do as you wish for as long as you don´t overDOit i guess. Mine method took me just 4 hours to complete the whole armor and I believe it came out pretty good.... however i believe i´ll add some lighter colours and a few soot spots here and there... Grafite is a great soot source for ABS plastic. CAREFUL! don´t overdo it! cheers!
  3. Yes! thanks for the feedback guys!! I´l definetely add more dirt to the boots and lower shins. Thanks for that. I finished the air intake/exhaust vents on the helmet and will post them in later today to see what you think of it. I received the MP-40 holsters but the buttons are not right so I´ll change them and then post pics. I couldn´t have my wife to take pics of me fully dressed last saturday so I´ll just wait until I have all "periferals" aproved to mount everything on me and upload pics! Cheers!
  4. allright!! hahahahaha the weathring process took me only 4 hours to complete, and that counts the abs modding too. I filmed a 13 minutes tutorial on how i weathered the armor but it came to a wopping 600 megs heavy vid. i wanted to upload it to youtube but i have no idea how to make it smaller so everyone can see it. let me know if any of you guys know how to convert digital camera video to something the you tube system can upload. On the armor subject: i´ll take pics tomorow and will upload them at night. i´l put on the pouldron and the mp40 holsters, also i´ll get the e-11 holster and the e11 itself. into it I still don´t have the backpack done since i haven´t bought the camelback frame. but at least that´ll give you an idea of it´ll look. thanks for the comment nico!!
  5. hahahaha great dude!! YOU ARE ONE LUCKY DIRTY TROOPER THERE MATE! ****! when will I EVER get to know a girl like that! Congrats Matey!!
  6. you can check the pics here man: http://www.mepd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=39037#39037 I would love to hear your comments!!! cheers!
  7. OK...now it´s working...early in the morning it wasn´t. Thanks Man! Great tutorial there!!!! Kudos on the job my friend!!!
  8. a couple of things here. some of the minor mods i did was to hand craft the bolts in the ear pieces with green stuff and I hand painted the blue stipes on the helmet filters. cheerio!!
  9. and finally the vest and abs. you can see in the last ones the flat shoulder straps. and some of the compact form in wich i carry my armor around the world. Cheers all!!
  10. ok guys...this is my first weathering and heavy modding attempt. I have been working this week to repaint the mouth grill, changing the lenses to flat green and modding the abs armor. I´m still to mod the air intakes in the helmet (the grey trapezoids and cheek bones) that I´ll exchange for fine Grey mesh to allow wind to blow fresh air into the helmet. thats 6 air intakes there guys! plus the mouth grill. I´ll probably mod the air intakes tomorrow. will post pics on tuesday. and I´m still into modding the canvas belt. will problably do that next week. anyway, please let me know what you guys think about the weathering that I did wich is, to my opinion, very subtle as I didn´t wanted a very dirty trooper since the ones in ANH are Not so dirty as some i´ve seen in conventions. any comments will be grately apreciated since I´m looking forward to get MEPD deployment status as soon as I can get it. Let me know what to change and if I´m going the wrong way here. I apreciate it. thanks! I´ll start with the helmet: [/img]
  11. ****.... i wasn´t able to see any of them because of the age of the thread.... anyone know where I can see the pics? I might talk my girl to the pinup thing! talking aout reviving old threads.... but i think the pinup idea is sound still!
  12. I hear ya! i got mine done from watching a new hope, it actually stroke me when found out that my memory had "dirtied" the troopers more than they looked in actuality. so I based mine a bit on Antony Forrest "these aren´t the droids we´re lloking for" armor.... it actually looks very god as the treatment i did on it got the paint in just the crevices of the armor. It´s very sutil actually. i´ll post pics later on for you guys to mess with. I want to know your opinion about getting my armor deployed according to the MEPD standards. great job again there.
  13. I wans´t able to see the tutorial since it appears to have been removed... but the pics here form the finished thing are just amazing. i´ll work mine from these pictures. will post pics of mine *** soon as it´s done. tthanks for the inspiration dudes!
  14. getting back to the armor for a bit here: Amazing work. makes me rethink what i did to mine actually.... great job. one to look at for inspiration and reference. Kudos my friend!
  15. Thanks guys! I finished weathering my armor and I´m working on the backpack and mg-34 (DL-19). hopefully the backpack will be fully assembled tomorrow and the DL-19 will be done next week. I modded the sniper plate using the extra abs pieces from my armor. I also modded the abs plate completely. tonight i´ll do the cheese grater (is this spelled right?) hand plate and replace the old TK air intake areas in the helmet and replace them with slate grey fine mesh. That way I´ll have 6 vetilation areas in the helmet besides the mouth area. oh...and I also got the mp40 clip holders. will post pics of the weathered armor in a bit so look for it! wanna know what you guys think. I want to have the best TD I can get with the material I could get here. CHEERIOS! Comander Dargas. TK-1845 (soon to be TD-1845!!)
  16. Hi Brothers! Richard Vargas (TK-1845) Reporting in! After havin g my armor for about a year I decided to turn to where my heart really is and turn my Armor to Sand trooper status. I´m in the last stages of transformation like weathering and getting a full mg-34 combat rifle ready. Last night i changed smoke bubbles for flat greens and I´m in love with how it looks! Tonight´s mod will be to cut open all 6 grey ventilation areas and replace the plastics for grey mesh (fine one) to have all 6 ventilation areas free on the lid. will post pics next week of the complete conversion. I´ll change the plastic belt for canvas tomorrow and will put toghether the backpack and mp40 puches on the weekend. I thank you all in andvance for the support that I know I´ll get, characteristic of the 501st Legion. I´ll be seeing you on the dunes brothers! Vode An!
