  1. The troop i did on sunday was the first time i have worn all the armour at the same time.. and i was pleasantly supprised that i had no issues at all. Everything was where it should have been and i didnt need to adjust anything. No pinching anywhere and it was very comfortable. Range of motion is fairly good. I didnt fell restricted at any time. The only trouble i had was with staires. In my fx kit i can run up and down staires as if i was not in my armour. I was also able to kneel down and sit. I dont think i will be able to in my TM, but that is not a worry of mine
  2. Some random pictures during the build.
  3. The armour body The finished belt, i used plastic weld to put the rivet covers on and the drop boxes are rivited to the 1 inch white elastic which is simply looped over the belt so they can freely move around The legs with the sniper knee plate and ammo pack. The joining strips on the back of the calfs are 1 inch wide, where as the rest of the joining strips on the legs are 25mm
  4. Nothing much to see here, its all pretty standard stuff. But i have used dungaree bib and brace style adjustable thingymajigs so that the ab plate and chest plate are adjustable. This is so that i can move the parts up or down for a nice snug fit.
  5. This is the new way for strapping arms to me. Notice all 3 parts are connected together. Also having the arms seperate from the rest of the armour makes it easer to get dressed and you can take off the main body suit and leave the arms on if you need to. I am using 1 inch black elastic in a continual piece holding the bells and biceps and then on the inside of the elbow a 2 inch piece of black elastic holds up the forearms. 3/4 inch black elastic is glued to the bottom edge of the bell to keep them in place.
  6. Who wants to see some of the finer details? I have glued on the shoulder straps Painted the ab plate buttons, humbrol #14 french blue and humbrol #5 dark admiralty grey And riveted the thigh ammo pack on the right leg
  7. Thanks guys i am really pleased with how this suit has come together Thanks goes out to Paul fo the great armour, Rolf for the equally great DL helmet! Also to Steve riveting for the great holster, John stormtrooper for the awsome latex handplates and rubber gloves. Also a big thank you to everyone on the mepd and fisd for all the insperation, tips and hints to building armour. I think the pictures speak for themselves, the quality of the kit really does all the talking
  8. My TM armour along with my Dan Laws anh stunt helmet and DLT-19 The last few photo's are with Pete aka stukatrooper and him TM anh stunt suit and E-11
  9. Hey Gus i just saw this thread. Nice to see you here buddy, and great looking armour - i look forward to trooping with you again soon
  10. That helmet is filthy dirty man, your trooper needs a wash
  11. Ok i am about 10 days into my new build and dont have a great deal left to do. This week i have been working on the legs
  12. You have a good eye Rolf And Pete, i love to follow your work. Everything is like a piece of artwork. Nice work on the clone armour
  13. Everyone seems to be busy here in 1 way or another.. I myself am about 6 days into a new armour build. My cat Kenobi keeps an eye on it for me when i am not around
  14. Nice pics Rolf Its interesting looking at the pictures the size of the AP ears, they are quite a bit bigger than the DL. I sold my AP a long time ago and so never got to put it up against some of the newer lids in my collection. Cheers fbj.
  15. Congratulations to Rolf and Sara Big trooper hug coming in from TK 8993 All the best
  16. I have said it before and i will say it again, you did a great job Pablo. Your armour looks great
  17. Whats the betting the prince will emerge armed with an T-21 All the best Rolf
  18. I think it will be interesting to see as more of these dan laws helmets appear in the community how other people put them together and how they end up looking. For now i will leave the helmet as it is, i think Rolf did a good job. I can see that the face maybe could be at a lower angle and the right ear could be closer o the face but i like it. I like it as it is different to the other helmets out there. Who knows what Dan has done to his molds, it is very sharp. And you are right Leo, i need a nice rotj helmet for sure, to make my collection complete
  19. Nice pics thanks for sharing. Also i think in the alley scenes they had two r2-d2 droids when shooting that scene, as it was too slow to keep up with the old jedi and the farm boy
  20. Thanks guys this is helmet # 12 i think... I have had fx, ap, te2, te, tm, some other unknown makers and now the dl. I like to buy the different helmets and take a look at them. Getting to know the subtle changes and i like to have the different versions also, like stunt, hero, anh, esb that kind of thing. But i have also been trying to slim down my collection as sometimes i have had 3 helmets from the same maker.. and i sometimes sell things to pay for other new things. I am quite happy with the helmets now in my collection and maybe just need 1 or 2 more, who knows?
  21. Nice troop Ralph I have yet to see the movie and i dont know if they are releasing it here in the uk, but it would be a fun troop to do thats for sure
