Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Bailey family. The love in this group is truly awesome.

I have been a member of the MEPD for many years. This time of year is my favorite but life seems to try to still my joy and love for the holidays. Several years ago my wife's father passed away on Christmas eve, the following year my wife's grandfather died 2 days before Christmas. The next year my wife and I lost our baby girl to an illness on Christmas eve and now this year my wife's uncle dies yesterday and one of our closest friends died 8 days ago both due to cancer. I just wanted to say thanks. My wife and I have three beautiful children one of which just turned 17 months old and loves to look at the Christmas tree. I sometimes find it hard to deal with this time of year even though it's my favorite. I have made many friends here in the MEPD and all of you have supported me and shown great friendship throughout the years. It means more to me than I could possibly say. So once again I would like to say thanks and plan on making next year here at the MEPD even better than the last. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas from the Bailey family.

Starting last Saturday and for the next 18 days my wife and I will be posting a pic of one of the children that was lost. I want the world to focus on those innocent lives that were lost and not the evil that took them away from there families.

My heart goes out to all involved with the shooting of children in Connecticut. It is the most evil of crimes in my opinion. A child is such a special gift and I can't even begin to understand what those families must be going through. I just can't understand. I wish the shooter was alive and that the families had a chance to kill him themselves. That may be mean to say but a child? Really? I would not even know what to do If my children were ever harmed. Excuse my rant i just don't understand.

I understand what you are going through. Very same thing for me and my daughter. My daughter is now 17 and hates her mom for the trouble she has caused but it has been many years of in and out of court. We were married 11years and now divorced for almost 8 years and she still cant get over it. I feel for you brother as I know the pain. You are one of the best people I have ever talked to and your son is very blessed. Good luck from one father to another.

Your other question, You would need 2 - 3 slot pouches that are leather. The shoulder pouch is a 3 slot canvas pouch with a small tool pouch that is connected. I have the correct canvas pouch as well and the tool pouch has already been moved to the correct spot. The ones from ebay have to be taken off and moved. Hi, Alex. I will put some input on this for you. So far I think you have come really close to the markings that were used on screen. This should be fine to get you deployed. The only thing you might add and its not a requirment but they might ask is just a little more base coat. The dark spots are fine. I like them anyway. Maybe just a bit more dust.
