  1. I missed out on the pictures - but I was there in my Sandy too! I think the highlight of my trip was actually getting to meet Oberon! Hoo-Rah Sandtroopers!
  2. <<<---I'll be there in my Sandy as a representative of Garrison Tyranus too! See you there!
  3. Greetings! I'll throw my 2 cents in to the mix. I own three pauldrons - orange, grey, and black. Personally, I think they should be "spread out" at events where multiple sandtroopers are going to be. I carry my Orange and my black when I troop. (Only been 2 times in my Sandtrooper...so I don't have much experience). However, I prefer to wear my black pauldron over my orange. My armor (as seen in my signature picture) is probably one of the dirtiest out there, and the orange just doesn't do it for me. I wear my black pauldron at events proudly, since after all - we all know who does all the real work out there on Tatooine. It's us black pauldron, low ranking enlisted troops! As seen in the image below - I just had to wear my black pauldron for my "legion photo". Nothing else would do! "Look sir...I stepped in bantha poo-doo!"
  4. Very nice! Love the LED's! I've got an LED on the back of my pack too! Makes it great to troop outside at night!
  5. www.opstoys.com I haven't started yet, but I would like to make my own custom Sandtrooper - and although this site doesn't carry Star Wars stuff, they have a great selection of figures, and accessories for 1:6 Enjoy!
  6. Congrats! Now begin their training! Never too early!
  7. What a great time! This was a great fun event at the Toys R Us in Virginia on November 1, 2005. Great turnout with kids and of course..it was great to see Lord Vader make an appearance. I have some pictures up on my website for your viewing pleasure: http://www.tk6829.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29
  8. My son and I had a blast! He went out as Superman (he had to wear a light jacket - it was a bit cool outside). Of course, I had to go out and man the streets as a good officer! Move along, Move along
  9. Love the look! I never EVER thought of using real sand...with hairspray! Very original indeed!
  10. I've seen TK-1009's Lewis up close...and it really is impressive. Great attention to detail, and it does have a good feel to it. Blast them!
  11. What font did you use for the text under my ID number? I've got to get that!
  12. Thank you! I've got it now - you can take it away. PERFECT!
  13. Hmm.. Guess which one is me! . . . . . . . . . . . You guess right! I'm the tall super dirty trooper. I kind of stick out around here.
  14. I'm not quite ready for the MEPD - I still have work to do...but I was wondering if someone had the time to fix up a couple of pictures to at least put me in the desert where I belong! A cool sig would be nice too! Here are the pictures - please be gentle! I can be reached at TK-6829@comcast.net
  15. I'd love to see a convention in Vegas..however for me (I live on the East Coast) - I wouldn't be able to bring my armor/BFG/backpack. Too much work to try and travel and answer questions. It was at least a bit better in Indiana (for me) since I could drive and pack up all my gear.
  16. On my pack, I just used 2" foam (found at pretty much any hardware store) and cemented it to the frame that touches my back. No scratches...and no bumping noise when moving around.
  17. I thought about velcro, but I thought that using some ABS glue to hold the section in place might be better. Hmm...
  18. Greetings! I've got calves that just don't quite fit. (Like many out there) I was wondering if someone had some pictures and a tutorial on what they did to get theirs to fit. I've got ideas, but I'd really like to see pictures along with a guide to help us of the "not so talented". Thanks Troops!
  19. I've got both Orange and black. I prefer black though...I just see too many of the orange ones around.
  20. Happy Anniversary! It's been 11 years for my wife and I.
  21. That was pretty good - nice TD's! Look sir...Wookie hair!
  22. Nice! Don't worry about your size. I'm a big Trooper too - we just stand out from the crowd.
  23. I'm a Rubbermaid guy too! I've got 2 boxes (big ones) that I split everything in to. I put the bulk of the armor in one, and the little stuff (backpack, pauldron, boots, pistol, and pouches) and the other. Takes work to go Trooping, but worth it!
  24. Looking good indeed!
