  1. I'm still anxiously awaiting my AP armor. I hope it doesn't take too long to put together. I'm going to have to work hard to get the bulk done before it gets hot here. I'll take it in .060, .080, whatever works!!! I feel like a kid in a candy store again Steve
  2. Seth is right. I've been here only a month now, but I have learned a TON. Stick with it....it is a lot of fun. Steve
  3. I've heard some of the guys here using foam inserts to take up the space. That might help. Steve
  4. By the way....Sitharmor probably has some left and their price is reasonable for the high quality of the pouches. I got both of mine from them and I am really happy with them! Steve
  5. Finally, a thread I can offer a little help with! I also have the Sitharmor pouches. outer dimensions: 10" high x 5" wide x 1" deep each individual pouch is 1 1/2" wide with 1/4" spaces between them and a 1/4" backspace on each side. the leather used is 1/8" thick. Lastly, the flaps appear to be about 4 1/4" long with the brass catches 1 1/2" from the bottom of the flaps. The straps that you use to attach the pouch to the armor are 1" wide (although I am not sure how the shoulder pouch attaches to the armor or the wearer....haven't figured that out yet....so that might need to change). Oh yeah, the top strap (with the buckle) extends 10" past the top of the pouch and the bottom strap extends approximately 45" past the bottom of the pouch. I have no idea how it fastens. Good luck. Steve
  6. or this type of under-armor might help.... www.theforce.net/.../jinnkenobi-pump-you-up.jpg Steve
  7. Welcome aboard! Looks like you are are much further along than me....I'm still waiting for my armor to show up. Then the fun really begins. Steve
  8. Right On, thanks! I'll be making a trip tomorow when I'm sober enough to drive Thanks Steve
  9. Ca glue? I'm not familiar with that. Can you get it a Walmart or Home Depot? Steve
  10. Hey, They look really good. I just got my mod kit from England today (Ya gotta love eBay). What did you use for glue? Better yet, what do you recommend? Thanks, Steve
  11. Man, Looks good, but I would be scared as **** cutting the old plate out. Steve
  12. Seth, I would like a white one if possible.....and hopefully orange and black in the future??? Steve
  13. Excellent Question. It would be nice to get some comparison photos of the different armor types all side by side and part by part.
  14. Dude, Was that a line from Galaxy Quest? I loved that movie....gotta watch it again now.... Steve
  15. Totally cool! I hope mine looks half as good as yours when I get there. Everything looks perfect. Hey...send some snow....It was almost 100 here the other day and I got sunburnt already... Steve
  16. If you wear it on board and carry you MG-34 I bet you can get an extra package of peanuts. Steve
  17. Excellent, Thank you. Are the sizes pretty accurate? I wear a 10 1/2 to 11 depending on the way they are made. Just don't want to be too tight or too loose. Steve
  18. I've been looking around the threads, but I haven't seen much talk about footwear. Anyone have any suggestions for good comfortable trooping boots that have the appropriate heel. I see them on eBay periodically but have been a little afraid to buy boots without actually trying them on. You never know if the sizes will be right or if they will "work" with the armor. Any brands to stay away from? Steve
  19. Yes, I'm curious about the progress too.....I'm definitely in the market for a nice one. I need to go from this ....to this ASAP. Steve
  20. Sweet! Odds are though, they will probably pick a clean TK.....but I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will be one of you sandy TD's. Steve
  21. Great, Thanks a lot. I went back and picked up the last one they had. Now I get to see how well I can make a toy look like the real thing. Thanks again. Steve
  22. Hi, I'm looking for a Hasbro E-11 to get things started. I went to WalMart and they only had the Clone Trooper version. Is it a different gun or just new packaging. The gun was back and white....and looked kind of like an E-11. If it is different, can it be converted with the resin add-on parts to look correct? I looked at it for a while, but didn't get it. Maybe I will see if it is still there and pick it up. The saw the conversion kit on eBay and liked the look of the finished conversion. Thanks, Steve
  23. http://www.vintageiron.com/chestprotector.cfm Chest Protectors $69.95 each We offer is the same GP chest protectors that Torsten Hallman used to sell back in the 70’s, made by the same folks in Sweden. Roger D to Hannah all had one of these roost protectors and now you can too. Special Note: After yours arrive, please don’t call and ask if we shrunk the chest protectors. They are the original size, your gut however is not. Special Note #2: If you are a Star Wars nut and want to buy a chest protector for your Storm Trooper outfit we won’t make them in a special color unless you order 100! Regarding Special Note #2...
