Wood Grain, The Magic of Latex and Stain

Recommended Posts

After getting my Hyperfirm T21 I read up on how to make fake wood grain on the sci-fire site and am amazed at how easy it is.

What I got:

1x Hyperfirm T21

1x Valspar White Latex Primer (quart)

1x Rustoleum American Walnut (quart)

1x Rustoleum Dark Walnut (quart)

1x Cabot Cherry (quart) *Could not find a rustoleum cherry.

Here is the unpainted grip, with latex on it

To quote Peter Griffin " HOLY CRAP" great minds think alike.. I just posted up a very similar post about my Cushman... TD's truly are a brotherhood.. OK maybe Im being overly dramatic and its the alcohol talking..I just got home from playing a baseball game, decided that I need 2 drink to Havana Kirbys instead of eating dinner.. So maybe my comments should be taken with a grain of salt...

Also you'll notice I removed the fake screw on the stock and am going to put a D-Ring in there, trying to figure out how to make it a bit stronger first, however; so it does not rip through and break =(
