FX Armor

The 501st itself accepts the FX armor and helmet for TK's & TD's

The MEPD does not allow the FX helmet, but the armor itself is ok (once modded)

True enough, but realize that the FX helmet while the majority in some garrisons is almost extinct in others. Heck in Garrison Titan I think there is only one FX helmet left, and that person usually troops as a TB anyway.

dont get me wrong,but.....i taught FX is popular because of the size, and sure does fit most peeps there

but......cant had all the beers in the world

And it was and still is cheaper than "screen accurate stuff".

Yes, the FX is cheaper, larger, & more readily available.

But, it's ugly as can be.

I still use it on my clean TK

Haven't been able to find another helmet that fits comfortably that I can afford.

Until the MR CE helmet came along, that is.

I plan on getting another to mod for my clean TK

When you add up the cost of a costume the difference between FX and others isn't all that much. RT is actually better for larger troops (as has been shown over and over) and is also trimmed and ABS. You can also get a "B" from AP on the helmets that isn't much more than an MRCE and requires no mods to get 501st accepted. FX also takes more work than other armors to look "accurate".

It's advantages keep getting minimized as time goes on.

I have tried other helmets BUT for me the FX is pretty much the ONLY helmet that will fit my huge head.

Give you an example one-size-fits all hats = not a chance in **** for me.

For all its 'ugliness' I for one love my FX helmet for just letting me troop.

I love other helmets as much as you guys and while I can easily afford to buy any of them and not blink an eye.

For now I am an FX Sandtrooper and proud of it.

:D

Thanx Pappy, the MR CE mod is totally worth it

Doesn't take too long to do either

Here it is for those of you who didn't read the thread

It's on my TK display at the moment, waiting for me to get the Sandy finished so I can weather it

My melon is too long front-to back

this is a problem with the AP helmet being so "flat faced"

If FX built an accurate look, with their size and price as it is....maybe more people would enjoy trooping

I think there is much the pull and especially in how it's assembled. I've owned an FX, AP, three TE2s, and tried on an RT and another TE2, as well as an ANHv2. I have to say that there was a lot of variation in AP/TE2/RT - in fact the 'largest' was a TE2, and most tight fitting also a TE2, with the other two TE2s, AP, and RT in the middle.

We have a troop coming up this weekend I can take side by side of my three TE2s, an AP, RT, and MRCE side by side if anyone is interested. Especially the opening :)

If you're melon is too big there is also something called cosmetic surgery

But seriously, I understand that it can be hard finding the right helmet when you have a "big" head, but when you want to be deployed the extra effort will pay off in the end.
