  1. From my research, the strips on the leg (thigh and calf) should be 3/4" wide. So if we do a butt-join on the back side, each section will only have about 3/8". Will that be enough meat(space) to put the velcro? I am so sorry for all this questions. Just very new to this butt-join thing
  2. I have the MC kit. I did a butt-join on the front and put 2 strips - one on the inside and one on the outside - to make sure the joint is secure. So....from my understand here, the back suppose to be an over-lap join? Is there some pics out there where it shows that the back have strips?
  3. Hi guys, I am putting together a TD armor right now using those "strip" version for glueing between each pieces. So far it is easy enough for me since none of the pieces needed to be open up to put them on. My only question is on the calf pieces. I know it need to open up at the back to put it on. So how do you guys do it and still using the "strip"? Any help or pics greatly appreciated. Thanks Az
  4. I am not dirty yet.......so I guess I don't get chicks. But my droid did..............
  5. So question of the day.......Which version is the screen-accurate?
  6. I still have a few for sale........... Let me know if you still need one. Radar Dish
  7. I was working on a new TD backpack yesterday in my backyard. There are a lot of Finches - Gold, Green and House all over my yard. So........... I have all these backpack parts and some misc parts in my garage. With the help of son, Dylan....we came up with two of these. :0bounce: :0bounce: :0bounce: Here is the finished products. The top part is from the mushroom cap. We painted it yellow to attract more Gold Finches. The main body is extra mortar tube after I cut them to size. These are CAB (Cellulose acetate butyrate), very lightweight and durable. The bottom parts is one of those useless TupperWare Jello cups. I have a lot of those but too small to use for the TD backpack. The landing bars are just some Papermate ball point pens and the windows are sprinkler nozzles. Here hanging and ready to go. Here is operational mode.
  8. This is what I'm talikng about. You have to mod the vintage BS frame to make it fit. So you just can't say.....use the BS frame. Now we are in the same page.
  9. So here comes the next questions..... Is the English Boys Scout frame is the same as the one we get here in the States? The reason I ask is I have the Boy Scout frame and AFAIK my seed trays are scale to size. They just don't fit right. The frame is wider for the seed trays to just sit on top. Also we all know that not everything was sprayed black and the chest protectors are not painted. Just curious...............
  10. Are you positive about that? If so, how come the seed trays dont sit right on those frame. I would love to see reference pictures (screen- captured) to confirm of the frame used. Thanks
  11. I used mushroom caps that I made. BTW, these are for sale too...........
