What is the outside diameter of the MG34's barrel shroud? 2.) What is the diameter of the holes drilled in the barrel shroud? R.S.V.P. SethB6025 Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 Going off of my hyperfirm that should be nearly identical to the real thing, the barrel diameter is 1 5/8" at the fat part closest to the receiver and at the ring above the bipod, and 1 1/2" on the main barrel area. The measurements I took from the Cushman (spits) give me a shroud diameter of 1 1/4", and I just want to be 100% sure of the measurements before I run out and buy new materials.
