jsniper
Hi guys Basically I have been thinking about this for a while and have decided to get the ball rolling with it. I want some TD armour as it is always Sandtroopers that stick in my mind. I'm just after some direct info really. I want to spend as little as I can get away with being a student but I am happy to wait if I have to so what sort of ball park figure would you guys say I can get a 501st acceptable suit of armour for? Also what type would you recommend for me? I'm about 6ft-6ft1 (182cm-185) tall. I weigh about 16st6 or about 230lb or about 105kgs. (trying to make it easier for everyone) If there is anything else you think I should know tell me. I will take all info and advice on board! Cheers guys
inglorious trooper
am armour might be the best bet for you, price wise its always best to p.m. or speak to the armourer personally as prices change as does availability,if you look in the for sale thread it just so happens that tyranus from am armour has some lite kits for sale.have a look and pm him,but dont jump straight in hes just one of quite a few reputable armourers here,i mentioned him because his kits quite large.do plenty of research looking at others on here and the f.i.s.d. first! good luck buddy
sandtrooper
Hello Jonny, welcome to the dirty side! Glad you're considering joining the MEPD. Check out this link for some basic information. http://td8541.imperial-web.com/armor-101/ Getting armour from someone getting out of the TD game may be the way to go if you're limited on time for assembling the armour. Also keep in mind that TDs require addtional kit like pouches and a pauldron. A backpack is optional unless you want to get deployed. There are several MEPD members in the UK that might be willing to help you out in whatever areas you might need.
jsniper
cheers for that Pat. Yes i'm aware of the extra purchases needed for a TD as I was deciding what pauldron colour i'd like. I've settled on orange and it also seems to be the most appropriate. I'm not pushed for time really. Just hoping to get at least the basics for a relatively low budget. I've signed up to the UK Garrison as well and i'm just awaiting approval for that so hopefully the two forums will give me all the info I need!
