supa troop
oK So i really cracked on with this today. Helmet is fully built now (better imho) ears trimmed and refitted, new Flat lenses, new Hovi Mix mic tips and the inside is now matt black Got the ears, Tears and frown to still paint and ive also startedto add some weathering i usually start of with dark weathering and gradually get lighter. This helmet has been a real pain in the *** so unlike others ive done, it seemed to me like it was a mix and match of helmet parts and boy it fought me all the way but im getting there now. here it is so far, much better i think

Saludos Thanks Juan i really appreciate that, it means im on the right track. Im wondering if a little more needs trimming off the left ear ?? the brow trim i think is ok though but open to remarks. Its been a nightmare build im convinced all the parts are a mix and match, but its done now thank goodness. i think i'm going to use a mix of fullers earth Ocre and light brown, and try to get a good sand effect. just need to look at tonnes of Move along trooper Pictures now. Cap and the new cap west are the best helmets ive ever seen. It must have been wrongly put together by the previous owner. supa troop
Hey last update with this i think, well i think i'm finally done with it. I never realised how hard it would be to try and replicate Weathering so im resigned to the fact that this CAP Helmet is just a Sandtrooper Helmet rather than a representation of the "Move along Trooper" it was just too hard and frustrating to get the weathering to look right, working on the helmet alone was a nightmare. I think iv'e given it a good go and maybe in the furture i'l try again Now i always thought that a Sandtrooper would have a sand coloured look to his armour but the more i looked at the "move along trooper" the more black i saw in the weathering, i realise some of this is perhaps the chipping of the material used in making the helmets so i figure these guys are perhaps full of different weathering from different enviroments, i suppose the boundries of actually weathing is endless. really enjoyed doing this though
