iconoclasta_88 Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Wow... this is quiet a request. Im not sure if what you ask will actually help with what you want to do. Most of the pieces have very different shapes and are not uniform at all. Then you must add that most ppl will trim and shim their armor to fit themselves. So, it would be very difficult to come with actual accurate sizes for every single piece (even impossible), unless you own a real screen used armor. I guess your best chance is to get a hi res still from the movie and then try to get the proportional sizes for hight (at least) for every part, taking in consideration that TDs were supposed to be 5'9". Or wait till someone comes with the measurements. If I find time (a lot) I will try to help you, but since it is a considerable task and I'm not entirely convinced it would be of any help to anything, given the complexity and difference of shapes in every piece, I dont know If I would be doing this anytime soon. iconoclasta_88 Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Ok, so Chris and I had a small PM conversation and I must make myself clear and say I do think this project is worthy of all the time and work that it may need to be done. As any project here, it is a great task and would be great to see it happen... Its just that I personally cant commit to give the measurements all by myself considering I have never done something like this (papekura armor), so I dont know if the measurements I could come up with would be what Chris needs; and that I dont have at the moment time to do this right away. Anyway, I have offered to take some measurements of a few pieces in case it can help with his project. Hopefully, some other trooper can offer taking measurements to other pieces and so on, till he gets all what he needs. Unless one single trooper has or can offer to measure the whole armor.
