madphisto.net
Hi there, some know me from other forums and may have recognized I never take the easy lane to complete my costumes. when I decided to start a TD project I thought of what BFG to take and how to realize it. Unfortunately I thought the MG15 might be a good choice regarding coolness and doability. ...well I was wrong First I thought the saddle drum would be the biggest problem to face in this project but investigating the anatomy of the gun - which I plan to make of alu parts - I learned that part is probably easier than the main body. Looking through all the threads (yea I went down the whole thread history) I noticed there are some people who got grabs on the real deal. I already got quite good detail shots from various gun collector sites but there are some question marks left aside from proper size figures. (Except a few known figures I may get for example when I get my real saddle drum most of my figures will be guessed by scaling schemes and those quite good side comparison shots I got. I'm going to use WOF's schemes to crosscheck as well). My question is if you could provide more detail pictures of (unassembled) trigger group and functionality of the drum and receiver (how the mechanism works to actually hold the drum). Also I would be very interested if someone may consider to do replicas of the bakelite rear receiver housing. Any help is appreciated.
