linus
Hello, I'm unfortunately not to be one of the owner of a real Sterling. So i built my own full metal blaster with this plans http://www.imperial-fleet.com/BBC/communit...pic.php?f=4&t=2 but something looks strange. Now i have a request to all original Sterling owners: 1. Can you give me some special views from the grip (top, bottom, left, right, front, rear) ? 2. Some measures like this ( 10 measures) -endcap removed- Can be in "mm" or "Inches" (preferable in "mm") With this measures i can perfect my next Blaster. Please help me and thanks for all. (Sorry about my bad english)
Tyranus
I'll see what I can do for you when I get home and have the Sterling in front of me.
Tyranus
I apologize. I did not have access to this picture when I was at home with the Sterling, but I got measurements for the gaps between the rails (8 and 10) and they are both the same at 9mm. I have the grip with me today and will be snapping a few pics and posting them up here shortly, so check back. I'll get the other measurement tonight. linus
Wow, very, very, special thanks to you. These pictures can help me to build the grip. So i've another question for the grip: Can you still give me the measure of the thickness of the grip ? What material is it? Is it really only one piece? I'll try to cast in plastic by myself. But just in time i don't know how. So the next are the measures i need of the blaster. In some Internetcafe's two of my pictures (in the beginning of these thread) are not displayed. I hope you can see these pictures. Otherwise i can send you an E Mail with this pictures. Special thanks again, it's great !
Tyranus
I believe the grip is either made from Bakelite or an early plastic. It is all one piece. Do you mean you need the thickness of the plastic material? I actually can't see the first 2 pics. Can you email them to me? gt_trooper_2187@yahoo.com Thanks! Tyranus
There's someone on the Blaster Builders Forum that has a REAL Sterling grip for sale, and an end cap - $25 each. If you are interested I can put you in touch.
Tyranus
Measurement #9 from your picture (the thickness of the metal) is 2mm. I hope that helps. Let me know if you want the real grip, and I'll see if it's still available!

Tyranus
When I checked this morning, he had posted that all E-11 parts were gone, but I had passed him your address and name. He may simply have already sold it by the time it got to him. I will check on these new measurement needs over the weekend. Glad to help! linus
Oh, sh.., F... ! So i was to slow. Now i'm pry (inquisitive) about the new measures.....Apropos measures. I've a question to measure #6. is it really 28,5 cm ? #5+#6+#7 should be the same as #2 i think. Could you check again please, because i want to create a detailed blueprint (is it the right word for "Technical drawing" ?) for my next Blaster E 11. I preferably try to create an exactly copy of the Sterling basis. Thanks....
