mediaguypj
Ok . Got a new set of FX armor, to make it a sandy. Last night I started building it. Couple of things. 1. The Helmet is a festering heap of bantha poop. 2. I need an RT mod or TE2 helmet. If you guys have any sources let me know. 3. I need a tutorial or ab piece. 4. On an up note I am psyched that nobody can still my TD or belt boxes. 5. It feels good to be back in armor. 6. I need the cheese grator hands those are cool. If any one has any suggestions before I proceed let me know.
motman241
The FX helmet may be poop, but there's plenty of room for fans, speakers, a microphone, padding, etc. Did you get the extra ABS with your armor? If so, I'll try to make a quick how-to.
mediaguypj
Yeah I totally have extra ABS. Also does the canvas belt hold its shape well? I would love the tutorial!
motman241
You shoud be able to print this page off, and then trace the parts onto your extra ABS. If there's any questions, let me know.

Rolf
I followed motmans advice and made my own ab plate detail, easy to do and looks great! Looks cool!!! Only one little thing. TK have the 4 small dot stripe. The TD only have 3. Yo
motman241
Only one little thing. TK have the 4 small dot stripe. The TD only have 3. He doesn't have the big black dots (no matter how many there are), and that's better than a lot of the pauldron slappers out there. Good for you to make your own modifications. It looks great! Yo Thank you 252 And thanks also for the heads up on the button detail, I had planned on having the three only but I thought it looked a bit weird (the bare bit didn't look quite right IMO and I couldn't cover it over with the belt/chest piece). They're only hot glued in so I could easily take one out if you guys think it would look better? Good for you to make your own modifications. It looks great!Cheers motman

DuneSoldat
Also does the canvas belt hold its shape well? This is total preference, but what I did for mine was add a piece of thin plexiglass inside the canvas belt. It is important if you want to hang stuff on the belt and will help the belt hold its shape much better.
mediaguypj
Oh the plexi glass is a great idea. Do you go all around yourself or just on the sides? Cheers! Pete

Rolf Cheers Rolf, hoping to have it finished within the next few months what I did for mine was add a piece of thin plexiglass inside the canvas belt.I've also seen people use elastic to help support the belt. I've done the same and sewn three layers of canvas around a metre of white wide band elastic. Not sure how much extra support it will give but it feels sturdy enough. But at least with plexiglass you'll be able to hang anything from your belt without fear of sagging
