DEDEDEJr
I'm in the process of converting my MRCE helmet into a sandy bucket. However, I would way rather use decals than have to paint over the vertical black stripes. The ones on trooperbay don't guarantee a fit to the helmet, so I was wondering if there were any MRCE specific sandtrooper decals out there? T-BONE
I painted over the whole grey area in my decals and you can't even tell. If anything it looks more authentic than plain decals. It's worth trying first to see if you like it I used grey model paint.
DEDEDEJr
It's true that painted is more accurate, any idea which paint colour would be a good match?
T-BONE
I used testors flat gray and it's almost identical to the decals.
Sandman Tigui
True. I used Naval Gray and I can't complain at all.
DEDEDEJr
I mixed flat grey with a bit of black...and it worked perfectly! Here's a (bad) picture of my in-progress helmet modding (bad because I had to put the second layer of gray pain on still): Trying to make my MRCE as TD as can be.Thanks for the tips guys
