  1. Nice to see you started a build thread, Daniel.

Let's see some new photos of your progress

Yeah it is necessary, i will show as muh as possible of the build.

By the way@troopermaster, do you still recommend this measurements? Not 25 on the back of the thighs?(Pic below)

And what is the difference between the humbrol 14 blue and the 221? Why do you use the 221 and the 14 for the legion?d6a112209e7b21cc90e75c19e5e08643.jpg

  2. Hello mates

Yesterday was my first Big Brown Box Day, I'm starting the build today, as you can read in the title is a troopermaster armor and guys, is a very nice armor, with very defined lines and a notable organic look, the abs that Paul uses feels well made, flexible but fairly sturdy.

Is amazing how asymmetric some pieces are, specially the ear caps, you will see in the pics.

I'm so happy with this armor, i herad that Paul sculps the molds for his armors and i have to say, he is a true artist and i feel that is an honor have the opportunity to own one of his armors.

As usual in this threads, all your recommendations, advices and suggestions are espected and more than welcome.e2cc5772464409453471f2e46a33be00.jpg

  3. Hey guys ¿does anyone has reference pictures of the desert captain? I have a few, but, is not enough, some things make no sense.

The few images i have, contradict themselves, the weathering itself is not the same across all the pictures, i guess the final product featured on screen is what counts, but that trooper not only have very little time on screen he also appear just from the bust up, we dont get to see the entire torso or the back, not to mention the lower part of the armor, so...

    can anyone help?ee596c0955b003bb2d540d54ce438431.jpg202c026e7078296c830388eebe6382a4.jpg0f2672e1efa9dff8a4f6c97922144f02.jpg9326a20d2c77f7395eac188cd78c9216.jpg9f3c2b8c3faf3f6d839a11b5ca0fc811.jpga8b568ffcf2d8247f2a68e8151750c95.jpgc47f600bc638ddc6dfd80847676f17ee.jpg

  4. Those images help, but at the same time create doubts and questions, for example, in the movie you can not see the desert captain below the chest, so is impossible to know if he is wearing a medium spanish pouch like those references say.

Btw it would be even more helpful add to those images if that trooper wears the pentagonal hand guard or the "cheese grater"

  5. I have this exact costume built by RS. I thought like you that time/experience would be an issue but once you look at the kit you see how it goes together i felt like i could have had a go.

That aside, i reached PO with just a few adjustments if you want to look at my WIP/PO clearance pics.

RS use the original hook and strapping method they used in episode 4. This does cause some extra stress on the armour so i'd recommend replacing it with straps and poppers sooner rather than later. Ive had several cracks due to this. Their DLT-19 wont pass clearance either. No rear sight and the charging handle is in the wrong place. Its fixable but an added headache for an expensive comission.

I re threaded all the sewing also as it wasnt done properly.

  6. Yes you're right, there is a lot o people with a massive amount of knowledge.

Armors, well, There is RS, ATA, AM, TM, AP, and others, read the post "where to buy" and " where not to buy"

In the FISD are more threads about building than the MEPD, But, naturally when going sandie, the MEPD is the best place.

    This is the way, welcome
