  1. Hi guys, my BBB arrived safe and sound. I did ask the seller how he got hold of this. He said he got it from a memorabilia military auction, and there wasn't much competition as this was not much of a "military" item.

I will look to restore its radio function as it was however non working. But i will leave the face (rust and all) as is. Battle worn :td:

For now, I shall not show what's inside of it as ...well, let's not spoil your appetite.

And i think i will mount the Sonix on my backpack. Just have to figure out a way to get this firmly placed there without damaging its faux leather. No, i will not paint the radar piece black. I think i'll just cover it with a very thin black decal per my SWAT requirement.

With mine, there's been 4 this past years. I think it's re-surfacing slowly. Don't give up hope !

  2. I think i kind of have some idea what's going on. I did comment on his PO post before.

I suggest TD2190 to make peace with the deployment officers here first and foremost. They (Deployment Officers) do not do this for a living. In reviewing, when they receive PO / SWAT applications which are not as guide-lined, this waste both the DO's time & applicants'. So, read the PO guidelines properly, go one by one, line by line, with clear background, proper camera angles, & in high res as required.

Also, get your 501st clearance first step, 2nd is PO, then SWAT.

Commenting/ rather "criticizing" unnecessarily in people's threads doesn't help really.

I got up at 4 am and tried for that one.    Missed it by 5 bucks.   My hangup was trying to do currency conversion in my head.   I bid what I thought was my max bid with 15 seconds left and someone popped me by $5.    I scrambled to convert and enter and lost it.  :(

I've literally been mourning the loss of that auction since it ended.

I know who won it, and it wasn't you. I'll keep a watch out for you Scott... It will come, patience my friend.

  4. Another update to the armor:

First, the skull mark on the chest. Wasn't happy how its right eye (left on viewer's point of view) is higher than the left. Eye adjustment it is.

screenshot2018-05-23af2ku9.pngThe mystery line is now further extended to the center. Might add a little less pronounced dirt onto these lines...

screenshot2018-05-23agnj2y.pngAnother revision to the right shoulder bell, something i previously wasn't quite happy about. From what i make, you can almost see another skull mark there.

The mystery tape & some light weathering...

Thank you all, constructive criticisms welcomed. Updates to the backpack coming soon. Salute troopers! :td::salute:

  5. Weathering is a matter of taste. @pandatrooper provided the "how" guide that a lot of us sandies follow. Doesn't mean you have to always follow that; and as to how much... the generally accepted notion here is: "less is more". I say: Keep on doing what you're doing. Looks good!

  6. I feel all of you. I use an insole inside my boots. The center of gravity for me somehow pin down along the insoles, hurting my legs too.

My garrison's troops would be in shifts tho. We make sure no one troops more than an hour. In doing marches, i will always tell whoever usually is in front most (usually kylo ren) to SLOW DOWN.

First troop of the year! The fine folks of Rhode Island Comic Con decided to branch out to Albany and held the first annual Empire State Comic Con April 6-8th. I was able to meet Mike Quinn aka  Nien Nunb. Bill Diamond and Mark Dodson where both at the con with a bunch of their famous puppets but most importantly, Audrey and Salacious Crumb!

Who knew Jabba let Salacious Crumb take vacation?

Audrey got a little hungry so we tossed in one of those pesky Jawas!
